According to a news release, for more than 30 years, Sydney-based Hillsong Church has ministered to people through the fellowship of the local church, Bible-based teaching and worship that draws people into the presence of God.
“It is my desire that Hillsong Channel would reflect the very nature of our local congregations around the world -- exalting the name of Jesus and empowering people to lead and influence in every sphere of life,” said Hillsong Church’s founder and global senior pastor Brian Houston. “I pray that this channel brings the hope, peace and power of the Gospel to life into homes all over the world.”
