By Peter Wooding, European Bureau Chief for the ASSIST News Service
The
Bristol-based charity, which has been supporting Evangelical leaders in
planting churches, evangelism, social action and education projects for
more than 50 years, brought in some of their partners from Bosnia,
Bulgaria and Romania to share at their annual conference.
“It
was so inspiring to hear our partners share so passionately about what
they are doing, their vision and their challenges,” said TEN CEO Gerry
Partridge.
Mircea
and Ronela Cristian reflected on the challenges and breakthroughs
they’ve encountered through the Rock of Ages prison ministry in
Constanta, Romania since 1994.
Teddy
Oprenov, who is Senior Pastor of Sofia Baptist Church in Bulgaria,
along with his wife Didi, who is the Associate Minister also shared the
remarkable story of how they’ve been able to establish their
multi-purpose building in the heart of the city.
Slavko
and Sanja Hadzic also shared about the great impact of their ministry
through their church in Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Gerry
also reflected on the great spirit of unity so evident throughout the
weekend: “I was encouraged to see the TEN team working so well together.
It was like a well-oiled machine. I was also impressed not just by the
unity of the team, but also of the supporters.”
“The
faithful supporters of TEN are such an encouragement to us and we are
so thankful to those who came, as they continue to stand with us in
“Making A Difference” across Europe.”
