‘Making A Difference’ Transform Europe Now (TEN) Conference Highlights Impact of European Evangelicals

Smaller Attendees at the TEN conferenceCHESHAM, UK (ANS - June 20, 2016) -- With the theme of “Making A Difference,” more than 80 delegates flocked to Latimer Place in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, UK, for this year’s Transform Europe Now (TEN) Conference held from May 13-15, 2016.
The Bristol-based charity, which has been supporting Evangelical leaders in planting churches, evangelism, social action and education projects for more than 50 years, brought in some of their partners from Bosnia, Bulgaria and Romania to share at their annual conference.
“It was so inspiring to hear our partners share so passionately about what they are doing, their vision and their challenges,” said TEN CEO Gerry Partridge.
Mircea and Ronela Cristian reflected on the challenges and breakthroughs they’ve encountered through the Rock of Ages prison ministry in Constanta, Romania since 1994.
Teddy Oprenov, who is Senior Pastor of Sofia Baptist Church in Bulgaria, along with his wife Didi, who is the Associate Minister also shared the remarkable story of how they’ve been able to establish their multi-purpose building in the heart of the city.
Smaller Partners from Bosnia Bulgaria and RomaniaGerry commented: “As well as hearing the miraculous testimony of how God provided this amazing church facility I was also challenged to hear how they have been moved with compassion to reach some of the marginalised people in the city including the Roma community and the refugees.”
Slavko and Sanja Hadzic also shared about the great impact of their ministry through their church in Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Smaller John BlanchardRob Newey led powerful times of worship and there were wonderful devotional times led by well-respected international speaker John Blanchard.
Gerry also reflected on the great spirit of unity so evident throughout the weekend: “I was encouraged to see the TEN team working so well together. It was like a well-oiled machine. I was also impressed not just by the unity of the team, but also of the supporters.”
“The faithful supporters of TEN are such an encouragement to us and we are so thankful to those who came, as they continue to stand with us in “Making A Difference” across Europe.”
