Pray for Gujarati of Tanzania

Gujarati of Tanzania
The Gujarati are primarily classified as the inhabitants of the state of Gujarat, western India. For most, Gujarati is their native language. Many Gujarati have migrated to other countries of the world, and are often referred to as simply "Gujarati", even though a number of castes and tribes may be represented. The majority of the Gujarati are Hindus, regardless of their location in the world, although there may be many Muslims among them as well.

Ministry Obstacles
The Gujarati of Tanzania may well have an insular mindset, desiring to protect their culture from those very different cultures around them. This mindset may make it especially difficult to find believing hearts.

Outreach Ideas
Christian workers should be alert to the caste and tribe boundaries within the Gujarati. These may be somewhat hidden to outsiders, initially.

Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the followers of Jesus among these people who have their roots in India. Pray they will fully embrace Christ as Savior, not mixing their understanding of the Gospel with Hindu traditions. Pray for clarity of understanding, and faithfulness in practice. Pray they will be joyful always, praying continually, and giving thanks in all circumstances.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Gujarati of Tanzania will increasingly be made aware of Jesus, and will be given accurate information about this man and what He taught. Pray that each individual in the Gujarati community will have one or more opportunities to hear, in their mother tongue.

Scripture Focus
"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance." Psalm 33:12

Pray for Bedouin, Eastern Bedawi of Egypt

Bedouin, Eastern Bedawi of Egypt
Several Bedouin tribes reside in Egypt, often occupying various oases in the desert areas. They lead a fairly harsh existence, with few amenities. Almost all are Sunni Muslim.

Ministry Obstacles
The Bedouin tend to be insular, separated from the communities around them. Creative means to connect to these people will be helpful. Scripture is not available in their language.

Outreach Ideas
Radio and television broadcasts of the Gospel message in the language of the Bedouin will be very useful, even necessary to reach these tribes.

Pray for the followers of Christ
There are few if any believers among these Bedouin peoples, but pray for those that will someday believe. Pray they will be filled with the Lord's Spirit, demonstrating love, joy, and peace.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the Bedouin, that they will hunger to know the forgiveness and fulfillment found only through Christ.

Pray for Lematang of Indonesia

Lematang of Indonesia
The Lematang people are very hospitable and friendly when welcoming newcomers. They have a strong sense of community togetherness proven by their adherence to "gotong royong" (neighborhood mutual service and assistance), not only to the Lematang community itself, but also to outside communities. They currently embrace Islam, yet still hold to ancient beliefs concerning magic and mystical powers.

Ministry Obstacles
Scripture is not available in the language of the Lematang, nor are tools such as the Jesus film.

Outreach Ideas
Christians may be able to minister to the Lematang through schooling for the children, and through micro-enterprise.

Pray for the followers of Christ
There are only a few known believers among the Lematang. Pray the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened in order that they may know the hope to which they have been called, the riches of their glorious inheritance.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray for improved schools for the children of the Lematang, and that parents will place priority on education for their children.

GPN 01-26-2010 Prayer List

GPN 01-26-2010

“When we put our problems into God’s hands, He puts His peace into our hearts”. Psalm 37:7. What a lovely Father we serve, to do this for us. May God bring you with His peace that passes all understanding. Roberto Wijnhof

Hi, my brothers and sisters asking special prayer for GODS strength and provision to make it through the week. GOD richly bless you brother Danny.

Despite laws preventing conversion, Muslims are turning to Christ in what's being called an amazing move of the Spirit in Northern Algeria. In 2008, Algeria put into full effect a new anti-conversion law that prohibited efforts to convert Muslims to another religion and gave the government the right to regulate every aspect of Christian practice. This law was a direct attack against Christians since almost all Algerian Christians are converts from Islam. The new law could make nearly all Christian churches in the country illegal. Despite this new law, 2009 has been an incredible year for evangelical church growth. Some churches have grown 802%. Many converts have come from Islam with no Christian heritage, no Christian background, no resources whatsoever, no training. But they just believe in God and His Word. Thank God for the many Believers who have turned their hearts to Him. Pray that God will give them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him and that the eyes of their understanding will be enlightened. (Eph.1:17-18). Pray that they will become skilled at the word of righteousness so that they can discern between good and evil. (Heb.5:13-14).

I praise God for giving me faith in the situation that I'm in. Barriers of any sort will not hinder me, IJN! Mighty Warriors will arise and stand tall, shoulder to shoulder in my ministry! I declare that God's Truth will be known to those around me.

- Pray for Igor M.: pray for him to stop persecuting me and stop accusing me falsely. Pray for him and his friends to stop harassing me. Pray for him to stop doing witchcraft and to be saved. We declare that the fear of God will come upon him.

- Please, pray for me to stand strong and unwavering. Pray that deliverance from wicked liars will come to my life. Pray for me to be of good cheer at this difficult time. Pray for Dima to be saved and for Ruslan to return to God, in Jesus name! S.

Please pray for me daily until cure Vijaya Kumar from India pray that God destroy all spells, satans, vampires, all demonic activities, all bad effects placed on me, I ask You to destroy any assignments, plans or works that satan has against me guard me and deliver me this oppression.
Urgent prayer alert: Christians under fire in Jos

Jos is on fire today, after unprovoked attacks against Christians at the weekend. Over 40 people were killed on Sunday, with reports suggesting that over 100 more may have been killed since the violence escalated. Homes, churches, cars and businesses are being torched.

On Sunday around 200 Muslim youths gathered to renovate a house near a Catholic church, but instead they launched unprovoked attacks on St. Michael’s church and other church goers, killing and injuring several people. Further attacks on local homes, businesses and churches followed, sparking retaliatory violence which soon spread to other areas that was eventually contained by the security forces.

“We need your prayers…only God can save us”

The Christian community in Jos is in desperate need of our urgent prayers. You can help restore peace and bring an end to the violence by crying out to God on behalf of the Christians in Jos.

Please take just five minutes today to lift up the situation in prayer.

Please pray:

- For a swift end to the violence, burning and looting across Jos, and for His peace to fall upon the city of Jos.

- For the families of those who have lost loved ones in the violence. Pray that God would comfort them as they mourn and strengthen them during this difficult time.

- For wisdom and strong leadership for church leaders in Jos, particularly for Archbishop Benjamin Kwashi. - Pray that God would keep them safe and grant them faith, courage and wisdom to lead effectively.

- For a spirit of forgiveness from the Christian community, particularly the young people, and that they wouldn’t be provoked to launch further counter-attacks.

- For members of the military to seek to restore order and bring peace, rather than turn on each other and civilians.

- For CSW Nigeria as they work to support the victims, and for CSW’s advocacy team in the UK as they lobby the media and international community.

- Thank you for standing in solidarity with the Nigerian Church.

Blessings, The CSW Team

Pray for Gao Zhisheng, still missing in China

A Chinese official has revealed that Gao Zhisheng, a prominent Chinese human rights activist who’s been missing since February 2009 ‘went missing’ from police custody ‘while on a walk’ in September 2009. This is an answer to our prayers, as this is the first time the government has admitted that Gao was ever in their custody. Please keep praying for Gao, as his whereabouts and well being are still unknown.

Pray for Sri Lanka’s presidential election.

Since the end of the civil war in 2009, there have been signs of an increase in religiously-motivated violence and discrimination against Christians in Sri Lanka, fuelled by the Buddhist nationalist ideology.

Next Tuesday, Sri Lankans will vote for a new president and the new head of state will face the complex challenge of rebuilding a peaceful, just and united society, which is genuinely inclusive of both ethnic and religious minorities

As some of you already know, I just got out of the hospital not too long ago, and spent some extra time in Ware Memorial here in the complex where I live, getting respite care for my heart valve replacement, etc. Since returning home last Friday, I have had gastro-intestinal problems, nausea and diarrhea. Nothing I have done so far has worked to stop it. Short of having to see ANOTHER doctor, which I cannot afford, I am asking for big-time intercessory prayer that God would heal me.

I am really miserable tonight and at the end of my rope, physically and emotionally. Please pray for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I know God will hear our prayers. Blessings and Love to All, Helen

Please pray for my 15 year old cousin by the name of Abbey. She is prostituting herself and has broken many homes including mine. Please pray that god will speak to her through a terrible incident and through her fear she will submit to god. Please pray that my husband and all

The other men totally reject her. Make her feel so distressed that she will turn to god for help and never again go back to prostitution. Yours in christ, irene collen

Pray for salvation of: Liparit, Ilia, Artem, Galia, Ynusov, Averkova, Nikolaev, Pikylia, Ochichenko, Sydareva, Koroleva, Slesarev, Alex, Natali, Raxmetov, Boitsova, Chikin, Shykyrov, Tolmazova, Fedotov, Vasileva, Tachigin family, Korshyn family.

I just got laid off from work. They said it was because of economics for the whole location, but they are hiring people for other departments still. The new manager of the engineers (a man) did not like me for reasons, such as the audits I had to do per procedures. There were a couple of others who as Christians did not like my Jewish ancestry, although I am a Jewish believer in Jesus. Others did not like having to follow the rules and requirements that we were all supposed to follow and that I had to review with those people. And then were was one leader who was into the occult and may not have liked my Biblical beliefs. Please pray for the Lord to bring me to a very good job soon, as has been done before. Catherine

We are excited as well to see the Harvest Time Bible school expanding in India, this time we will be having the school in the state of Bihar which is one of the worst part of India Spiritually, Financially and politically.

Yet we have got open doors, so please keep us all in prayers as our coordinators are working hard. God Bless You Abundantly, With Much Prayers kingly Lazarus

Jesus Prays For His Own

Jesus Prays For His Own
By Dudley Hall www.sclm.org

I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you gave given me. For they are yours...Holy Father, keep them in your name which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. John 17:9-11 (ESV)

Jesus prays for the disciples. He gets his prayers answered. What greater security could we have than to know that Jesus has asked the Father to keep us? What could harm us if the sovereign Father is in charge of keeping us?

Jesus demonstrated how he had kept the disciples during the time he was on the earth. He gave them the words that would replace the myths they had previously built their lives upon. The Father would be responsible from now on to make sure they had the words they would need to continue to live in his name.

This is not a case of Jesus asking the Father to do something he didn't want to do. After all, it was the Father who had chosen them and given them into the charge of Jesus. These were marked men. They had been marked off as belonging to him before they ever heard of Jesus. They had been given the grace to recognize Jesus as the Word of God. He would see to it that they would always have sufficient grace to hear and obey the continual words of God enabling them to fully know the privileges of being one with the Father and the Son.

This gives us some sense of the place of prayer in God's plan. Of course it was God's will to keep these that he had chosen and given to Jesus, but Jesus prays for them anyway. Prayer is not trying to change God's mind or to coerce him into doing our plan. It is activating his plan by partnering with him in accomplishing what he desires to do. A large part of eternal life is enjoying the partnership. God is doing something grand. He allows his sons to participate through prayer and proclamation. We pray and then proclaim, or we proclaim and then pray that the proclamation will be heard and understood. It is always his word that transforms. We do not embrace a rigid fatalism that assumes God will do whatever he wants without our participation. We GET TO play a role.

This also gives us clear understanding of what the Father's goal includes. We are kept by the word that reveals our union with him. We "see" how he has made it possible for us to know the Father just like the Son knows him. Knowing this takes all the fears of shame and failure away, and motivates us to replace our self-centered isolation with love for each other. Disciples who know their union with the Father will be a shinning light of hope for a world of orphaned-minded people looking for a father.

What a comfort to know that we are prayed for by Jesus. We can move with confidence into the purpose he designed before the world began.

Pray for Tuareg, Air of Niger

Tuareg, Air of Niger
The Air Tuareg are primarily (not entirely) nomadic shepherds, who move their livestock from one grazing ground to another with the changing of seasons. In direct contrast to Arab custom, the Tuareg men wear veils called tidjelmousts; the women do not wear veils. To show respect, the men always cover their mouths, noses, and foreheads while in the presence of foreigners or their in-laws.

Ministry Obstacles
The nomadic lifestyle of many Turareg make it difficult to establish relationships with them, relationships generally necessary to develop trust for purposes of discipleship.

Outreach Ideas
The Tuareg have a reputation among other Muslims of being lukewarm in their faith. They incorporate animistic practices into their belief system, which may indicate some openness to other faiths. The New Testament is available, as are Gospel recordings.

Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray the believers among the Tuareg may clothe themselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray that each individual in the Tuareg tribe may soon hear the Gospel message in an understandable and acceptable form. Pray for the Holy Spirit to prepare each heart to understand and to receive the gift of life found in Jesus Christ.

Scripture Focus
"I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations - Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth." Psalm 57:9-11

Bob Ford get Healed

Dear Intercessor,
This is a praise report from Bob Ford. We prayed for his right eye to be healed a few days ago and here is Bob's report of a miracle of healing, along with medical pictures to prove it. THANK YOU, JESUS!

Robert Fitts

Brother Bob:
Thanks for your prayers,Bob and Joni, and for alerting the prayer team concerning my eye. I want to thank each and every one that prayed for me, may God bless you 1000 times over again. Also, thanks for all the emails with your encouraging words and Scriptures, I have been comforted and encouraged immensely.

I will give you all the details so you can send it to all who prayed and believed along with us.
Tuesday AM my right eye was blurry and I couldn't read even the largest letter on the eye doctors chart.
Wednesday I could see gradual improvement as the day went on, and at about 4:00PM I could read words with my left eye closed.
Thursday AM it was even better yet, and I went to the eye surgeon in Seattle. I told the attendant about the improvement and she checked my vision using the same chart used on Tuesday, and I could read every letter (with my right eye) to the degree of 20-20 vision. PTL! The surgeon came in and I told him everything and he ordered another picture of my eye. He came in with picture in hand and said, "I don't know what to tell you. This just doesn't happen. The swelling has gone down drastically and there is no need to do any surgery. We will check you again in a few weeks."
Glory to God! The Throne is occupied by God alone, with the precious blood of Jesus on the altar, and the attacks of Satan have been cast down to the pit and we have the victory as children of God, all in the mighty name of Jesus!!
I have attached the pictures and do hope that you have a color printer so to see the difference. The picture dated 1/19/2010 has a box in the upper left corner with a smaller box within it. In that small box you will see a large white spot, this was the problem area. Notice that the same box in the picture dated 1/21/2010 has no white spot in it. This means that God's healing power removed 90 + percent of the fluid and swelling, the remainder WILL be removed soon, PTL!

In His love and service,

Bob Ford

Nara, Nialetic of Eritrea
The Nara live north of the Gash River in southwestern Eritrea, and are predominantly a Negroid people. In the past, the Nara were one of the Sudanic tribes that were raided for slaves by other peoples. Ancient records refer to the Nara. Both an inscription in the fourth century and an Arab traveler's log in the ninth century document the location of the Nara.

Pray for the followers of Christ
There are a significant number of believers among the Nara. Pray the Lord will encourage their hearts and strengthen them in every good word and deed.

Please pray for him. I want him home. Thank you Barbara.

Pray for Tebbu of China

Tebbu of China
The Tebbu live in one of the most dramatically remote regions of China. They are largely cut off from the rest of the world by their surroundings. The Tebbu homeland is to this day dangerous for visitors, and the people wild and unpredictable. Although almost all Tebbu people profess Tibetan Buddhism, shamanist and animist rituals undergird all of their religious practices.

Ministry Obstacles
The remoteness of the Tebbu people has long been a barrier to the Gospel of Christ.

Outreach Ideas
Much prayer is needed to prepare the hearts of the Tebbu to desire to hear of Christ. Pray for hungry and receptive hearts.

Pray for the followers of Christ
There is no evidence that there are any Tebbu followers of Christ today, although there were some several decades ago. Pray for any remnants of that early church, and pray for the Tebbu that will soon become believers. Pray that teachers will be available to them, even though they live in an inhospitable location.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Tebbu people will not be satisfied with their knowledge of God. Pray for seeking hearts, that yearn to find out more about God, and that this desire will lead them to find Christians to help them.

Scripture Focus

Pray for Bumthangpa of Bhutan

Bumthangpa of Bhutan
Many of the Bumthangpa (Bhotia) immigrated to Bhutan from Tibet in the eighth century. Because of their history of isolation from other nations, the Bumthangpa do not trust outsiders. They are conservative by nature and value their ancient traditions.

Ministry Obstacles
The remoteness of this people is an obstacle. The area is geographically remote for many workers, and the Bhutanese government has long imposed restrictions to entry.

Outreach Ideas
The growing church in Nepal is positioned to carry the Gospel to the tribes of Bhutan. Some Bhutanese are refugees in Nepal, also.

Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the few believers among the Bumthangpa, that their love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, and that they will be united around the truth of the Gospel.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray this tribe will soon hunger to know the light of the Gospel, and that each individual will hear the Gospel in such a way as to understand it and accept it.

Pray for Kazak, Qinghai of China

Kazak, Qinghai of China
In 1936 a group of 10,000 Kazaks left northern Xinjiang and migrated south to Qinghai. Beset there by Mongol nomads, the Kazaks moved further south in 1939, only to be caught and massacred by a local warlord. Of 10,000 Kazaks, they say all but 700 perished. Today they have recovered to become a commune of about 2,000 semi-nomads.

Ministry Obstacles
They reside in a remote area of western China.

Outreach Ideas
Although they claim to be Muslims, the Qinghai Kazaks are essentially animists. They also engage in ancestor worship. They are surrounded by Tibetan Buddhists on every side but have stubbornly refused to embrace their religion. They may be open to the message of Jesus' love and forgiveness - many resources are available in their language.

Pray for the followers of Christ
Although there are no known believers among this group, pray for those that will someday emerge. Pray they will grow in knowledge, and that Godly teachers will help them.

Pray for the entire people group
Today the Kazaks of Qinghai are a completely untouched group and have no knowledge whatsoever of Christ or the gospel. Pray that the Lord will work mightily to make his salvation known to these people.

Prayer Request GPN 01-15-2010

GPN 01-15-2010

Pray for the safety of Kogui Christians in Colombia

For security reasons please do not post this information on a web page. PLEASE include this security warning if you share this by email for prayer support.

Kogui Christians in Colombia face mounting pressure to renounce their faith. Two legal petitions to the Colombian courts demanding that their constitutional rights be protected have been submitted on the group’s behalf. The judges involved must make a decision within the next ten days. After being given a ‘break’ from their captors over Christmas, the group decided not to return to captivity on 10 January, defying the governor’s demands. They do not know how he will react. They had been detained illegally since the beginning of November, and were under pressure to recant their Christianity. Please continue to pray for protection and freedom for the group.

A generation of youths who do not know how to treat women are to be targeted by the British government in a drive to tackle violence and abuse in teenage relationships. The campaign could also involve children as young as 5 being taught about ‘gender equality' as part of personal, social and health education that, from 2011, is to be a compulsory part of the national curriculum. Rules are also to be produced for how teachers should tackle ‘sexist, sexual and transphobic' bullying. A strategy to tackle violence against women and girls published highlights the need for ‘attitudinal' change among teenagers in relationships. The move follows growing concern that some teenage boys are mistreating girls with verbal abuse, physical attacks and attempts to coerce them into having sex. Pray that young people in your community will come to the knowledge of Jesus and that they will serve Him. Pray that their conduct will change as they are being transformed by the renewing of their minds. (Rom.12:2).

Please, pray for my healing and protection. I've been feeling ill. Please, pray for Sveta to walk in the Spirit and not to yell at me. Pray for her to be able to go to the dentist. Pray for favor with my landlord and neighbours. I pray for provision for me: many things are broken in my home. My landlord doesn't want to fix them. Pray for the spirit of mammon to leave Artem and his wife. Please, pray for God to give me the blessings of Abraham. Pray for Sveta to follow Jesus.

I ask you to pray for God to give enlargement to us in our prayer group. For physical and spiritual protection for my ministry, staff and family. Pray that this prayer will bring down the forces of darkness holding our nation of Russia in bondage. Pray for Moscow!

Pray for Coptic Christians in Egypt shot during Christmas celebrations

Sadly, Christmas celebrations have turned into a time of mourning for Christians in Egypt. Six Coptic Christians and a security guard were shot after a Christmas mass on 7 January in Naga Hamady, Qena, following threats of violence. Please pray for the families of the victims, and other Christians in Egypt.

Lorraine, my friends mom, is back in the hospital for her 3rd round of chemotherapy. She is really sick and could certainly use some Divine intervention. Even as I write this Lorraine's kidneys are failing. I'm afraid that Shannon and her mom are both afraid she won't pull through this time so they could both use some peace. Shannon has gone as far as phoning everyone and telling them to come. Please also pray for my relation with Shannon. I need to know what to do. S.

Pray for salvation of: Levina, Kalinina, Kniazev, Neli, Nikita, Vents, Zhanna, Denis, Nadia, Zoia, Syvilova, Bereza family, Deeva, my neighbours. Pray for our safety and protection. Pray for deliverance of the people mentioned above. S.

Reports speak of a frightening practice taking place amongst girls and young women in Afghanistan, whereby they are forced to set themselves on fire in order to escape from abusive husbands or the threat of forced marriage. ‘Self-immolation’, as it is called, is often considered by these girls as being the only way out of abusive situations. Out of 51 cases seen over seven months by a particular hospital in Herat, only 13 girls survived. What is more, in cases of abuse, it is often the victim, rather than the perpetrator, who is punished. Honour killings, where girls are killed by male family members for things such as falling pregnant outside of marriage (often as a result of rape), are another dangerous custom. Pray for the girls and young women facing these horrific situations. Pray that God would provide an escape for them other than self-immolation, and that they would find protection and security. Pray for Christians in Afghanistan who may come into contact with girls in abusive situations. Pray that they would be able to minister to them and to show God’s love, and explain to them that it breaks His heart to see them treated in such a way.

Haiti Quake Victims Need Our Help

Haiti Quake Victims Need Our Help

Charlottesville, VA - January 13, 2010 - Indigenous Christian ministries in Haiti can be helped through gifts sent to Christian Aid Mission. Emergency gifts to help them rebuild the lives of earthquake victims can be made online immediately at www.ChristianAid.org or by calling 1-800-977-5650. Contributions should be designated Haiti Disaster, code number 120DIS.

Christian Aid Mission has been assisting native missionary efforts in Haiti since 1970. As in most such disasters, medical help for the injured comes first, then long term efforts to rebuild homes, churches, Christian orphanages and schools as well as native missionary training centers.

Christian Aid Mission is a member of the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability. Contributions are tax-deductible and used 100% as designated. Emergency gifts may be mailed to Post Office Box 9037, Charlottesville, VA 22906.

Pray for Aimaq, Taimani of Afghanistan

Aimaq, Taimani of Afghanistan
From ancient times, Afghanistan has been the crossroads of Asia. The ethnically mixed Aimaq tribes formerly stretched from northeastern Iran into western and central Afghanistan, where they still reside. Aimaq are known as formidable warriors. They live semi-nomadic lives, traveling seasonally to graze their herds and/or subsisting as sedentary farmers and carpet weavers in mud-brick villages.

Ministry Obstacles
Strong tribal and family loyalties create difficult barriers for the message of God's grace found in Jesus. In addition, the Aimaq live in remote areas of Afghanistan. Scripture is not available in the Aimaq language, nor are other tools such as the Jesus film.

Outreach Ideas
Christians can serve the Aimaq peoples by helping with physical and material needs, such as improved access to health care and education for the children.

Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the few believers among the Aimaq, that the Lord will make their love increase and overflow for each other, and that they may be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Lord will soften the hearts of the Taimani Aimaq toward the gospel message, and that they may hunger for the grace found in Jesus.

Scripture Focus
"Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples." Psalm 96:3

Prayer Request GPN 01-12-2010

GPN 01-12-2010

“God can turn winds of adversity into showers of blessing”. Gen. 50:20
Just trust in the Lord with your whole heart. Greetings, Roberto Wijnhof

Emergency request for my cousin's son Darin, mining accident.... Sketchy details... In route to specialty hospital in w. Va. .... Please pray

Prayer Points:

• That God would wake up the Church in the Netherlands.

• That God would raise up watchmen intercessors who are alert and who know how to intervene in prayer when the enemy tries to sow tares among the wheat.

• That God would give wisdom and strategies as to how to cut off the tares that have already been sown so that God's purposes for this season will not be contaminated, delayed or aborted.

• One of the tares that God is highlighting is that of "false unity." It is a unity based on being exclusive. God's heart is inclusive (Numbers 11:29). Beware of a heart attitude which says, "If you are not part of our group, then you are not part of what God is doing." God wants to use every denomination and stream in this season.

If there ever was a time for us to humble ourselves and pray, it is now. Since the Netherlands is the door to continental Europe, there is more at stake than only our own interests. Several of us heard the Lord say that it is time to "consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land and cry out to the Lord" (Joel 2:15, 16).

Last year we prophesied that the momentum of the prayer movement in the Netherlands would increase. This is precisely what happened. This increase in momentum will continue into 2010 and will be evidenced by an increase in the number of mass prayer meetings as God's people humble themselves and come together to pray. Several of us heard God say that it is time for a "Call" in the Netherlands.

Prayer Points:

• That God would bless the initiatives being taken to organize large scale prayer events in 2010.

• That He would cause national leaders to be able to put aside their differences and work together. Arleen Westerhof Facilitator, Netherlands Prophetic Council

Recently a group called “have to practice suicide” was removed from the social network after a 15-year-old member of the group was stopped by friends as she tried to throw herself off the roof of a Hong Kong school. Pray for the safety of young people on social networks like Facebook; pray that they will not become members of groups that can harm them in any way.

Every witchcraft gathering assigned to enforce failure in my life, be scattered, in the name of Jesus. My blessings, hear the words of the Lord, do not pass me by, in the name of Jesus. Anointing that melts away hindrances, fall upon me now.

My God is great and I praise Him! Pray for me to have funds to fix my teeth and to go to the doctor. I shall laugh last, whether the enemy likes it or not, in Jesus' name. Every power keeping me low, fall down, in the name of Jesus. We declare: many shall turn to God in Moscow! I praise God for giving me my calling. Pray for a spirit of repentance to come upon the church in Russia and purge it of all unrighteousness and self-serving, and that the Holy Spirit would have His way. Pray that God would send more labourers here.

Sasha

Pray for Robert Park detained in North Korea. Mr Robert Park entered North Korea on Christmas Day, taking with him a message of Christian love and goodwill to the brutal regime. He is currently being detained in the country, but his exact whereabouts are unknown.

Hi, my brothers and sisters please say a prayer that I will receive GODS strength and provision. it is so cold and I am so tired of being homeless and trying to fight the snowy and freezing weather. GOD richly bless you, brother Danny

It is the final months before the beginning of the Soccer World Cup in South Africa. Leaders constantly need to make decisions that would be the best for every South African and every tourist. Please take the time to pray for those in authority of this nation. Lift up in prayer President Jacob Zuma and Deputy President, Mr. Kgalema Motlanthe, together with their cabinet, to have discernment to make wise decisions from the counsel they receive from members of parliament and other leaders. First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Tim.2:1-4).

Kindly pray for my visa. God open all the ways for us. God Bless my Family and pray for my finance and I need my bank statement and other documents For My visa. God Provide Me with everything. May God Bless u. In Christ, Pastor Saleem Pakistan

I have lost my little baby girl on the first on June 2009, she was born prematurely on 28 weeks and God decided to take her to heaven. I am heart broken, I Do not know how to deal with this anymore. I have also lost my job in may 2009 and can't find employment, my financial situation is horrific. I know that Jesus do not want us to suffer, he will bless us and assist us financially. I beg you to pray for me, I Do not know where to turn or what to do anymore. I feel like I am stuck in my grieve and do not know how to get out of it, the depression is killing me silently. Thank you. God bless!!! Juanita, South Africa Boksburg

Up to 1.2 million people in South Sudan, including hundreds of thousands of children, could face famine as a result of low rain fall. An increase in tribal conflict has meant that many families have been displaced, driven away from what crops they did have, therefore leaving them even more vulnerable. It is thought that around 2,000 people have been killed in these clashes between rival tribes. Pray that God would bless this region with rainfall, so that they would not be hit by famine. Pray especially that God would protect the vulnerable children in South Sudan. Pray that God would open the eyes of those involved in tribal conflicts. Pray for Christians who minister into these people-groups, and that they would seek peaceful resolutions to their disputes.

We have an employee who worked for us in the ministry who has told numerous lies, we lost contracts due to her dishonest deeds. We need divine intervention. Please pray for a miracle and God's favor as we are at a loss in this situation and have no way to rectify the damage done to all parties involved. Ty

Pray for Jat, Sikh of India

Jat, Sikh of India
The Sikh Jat trace their origin to the time of the fifth Sikh Guru Arjun Dev (AD 1581-1606), when a large section of the Majha Jat embraced Sikhism. At the village level, the Jat Sikh have felt a threat to their identity, but not on a national level. During the naming ceremony for a child the Sikh religious book (Granth Sahib) is opened and the child is given a name beginning with the letter of the word of the page. Though they staunchly adhere to the tenets of Sikhism, many visit Hindu pilgrimage centers.

Ministry Obstacles
The Sikh Jat speak well over 30 languages and are spread over several states of northern India, probably requiring a number of separate evangelistic and church planting projects to fully reach the community.

Outreach Ideas
Focused prayer for the Jat community coupled with several ministry projects will be necessary.

Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the few followers of Jesus among the Jat to make every effort to keep the unity of Christ's Spirit through the bond of peace. Pray they will learn to be joyful always, to pray continually, and to give thanks in every circumstance.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the Jat community to prepare their children well for the challenges of a rapidly changing society, and to care adequately for the indigent within their community.

"The time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory." Isaiah 66:18

Malaysian Church forgives amid flow of sympathy

Malaysian Church forgives amid flow of sympathy

Compiled by Michelle MY Chan
Special to ASSIST News Service

KUALA LUMPUR, WEST MALAYSIA (ANS) -- A display of sympathy and aid had come to a Malaysian church that was the victim of an unprecedented arson attack two days ago.

The Metro Tabernacle, an Assemblies of God church in Kuala Lumper had its administrative office destroyed by a bomb, received messages of sympathy, including those from politicians and Muslim groups.

The Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak condemned the attacks during his visit to the church. The King has asked people of this multi-racial country to stay calm and respect places of worship. Police had been ordered to beef up security in places of worship. The church has been offered a substitute venue to hold its services.

According to The Star daily, the leaders of Metro Tabernacle had issued a statement forgiving the perpetrators of the crime. They also thanked the government for condemning the attacks. “We have a congregation of 1,700 who are godly and forgiving,” said the church headed by Senior Pastor Reverend Ong Sek Leang. “It is a very sad day for Malaysia, but a great day to know that most Malaysians do not think like that (re: in religiously-divisive manner).”

The statement of forgiveness was made as Christian groups, lawyers of all faiths and politicians from the East Malaysia (Borneo) state of Sarawak loudly protested against any acts done to throw the country into chaos, The Star reported.

Two other churches were also attacked by Molotov cocktails on the same night. The Life Chapel Brethren Church’s front porch was reported to be slightly damaged while the Church of Assumption (Catholic) found a bomb which failed to explode. No injuries were reported. No party claimed responsibility for the crimes.

The attacks were widely-believed to be linked to an earlier High Court ruling which allowed the word Allah to be used in Christian publications. Whilst a delay of implementation had been in effect - due to an appeal to a higher court by the Home Ministry - protests amongst some Muslim groups have been planned. This was followed by the arson attacks, and a subsequent lacklustre turnout in the Muslim public protests.

The incidents are threatening to rupture an already fragile situation in the country where ethnic, religious and political interplay forms a delicate balance in its governance. With a majority of Malay-Muslims at about 60% of the population, Malaysia has always stressed and so-far survived by maintaining harmonious relationships amongst ethnic Chinese and Indians that make up the rest of the 28 million population headcount.

Since the official religion is Islam and it is unlawful to proselytize to Muslims, most of the 10% Christian population here are Chinese and Indians.

Pray for:
1. Swift, decisive and resolute leadership that will move the country towards peace and restoration of confidence.
2. The Church to respond appropriately in uncertain times within a multi-cultural society and religiously pluralistic backdrop.
3. The Church to avoid compromise, and continue to show love, forgiveness and compassion.
3. God’s will to prevail.

“There is one way to avoid criticism: say nothing, do nothing, and be nothing”. Matthew 7:4-8 Be blessed this weekend, Roberto Wijnhof

I ask you to pray for God to give enlargement to us in our prayer group. For physical and spiritual protection for my ministry, staff and family. I pray for provision for me: many things are broken in my home. My landlord doesn't want to fix them. Pray for the spirit of mammon to leave Artem and his wife. Please, pray for God to give me the blessings of Abraham. Pray for Sveta to follow Jesus. Pray that this prayer will bring down the forces of darkness holding our nation of Russia in bondage. Thanks, Sasha

Please pray for me. I need physical healing in my entire body, headache, dizziness, feeling weak, joints and blood and blood system. Also I need financial break through. Arthur

Local leaders in Ciudad Juarez - Mexico's most violent city - have asked for UN peacekeepers to help stem the alarming bloodshed. Despite the deployment of 40,000 soldiers in June an estimated 6,476 people have been killed this year in drug-related crimes. The failure of federal and local authorities in staunching the bloodshed prompted local business leaders to petition the United Nations for help to end the wave of extortion, kidnapping and murders. The northern state of Chihuahua, of which Ciudad Juarez is the largest city, is at the heart of suspected drug-related violence that has left 14,000 dead since the end of 2006. President Felipe Calderon deployed 50,000 security forces across the country after he took office three years ago, in a controversial crackdown that failed to stem violence from powerful drug cartels. Beheadings, attacks on police, and shootings in clubs and restaurants are a daily occurrence. Cartels have become so powerful that they effectively control some parts of the country. Pray that God’s people will come before Him in prayer and confess the sins of bloodshed in this nation. Pray that every form of corruption and bribery will be exposed and that justice will prevail. Ask God to help the President Felipe Calderon to lead this nation in righteousness and justice.

Please join me once again in my prayer need. I know you have your own crosses. I pray for daily; My 3 other grownup children one recently married, my diabetic (since she was 4) oldest daughter Constanza 32, without me even knowing about it, do not want to communicate with me for ignoring them....as Yina my current wife threatens me with divorce if I do... since 15 years...It’s quite a soap story I know, forgive me, Arie J. Geurts Mexico. Please pray for a chance in the life of our brothers wife.

2009 was a very difficult year for all of us.

Many struggled with losing jobs, being laid off and more.

We struggled with the most terrible economic situation since the 1930s.

While many of us struggled, though, much of the world struggled even more.

1.25 Million People were left homeless by the Sumatra Earthquake in Indonesia - our team responded immediately going to Padang, Indonesia and continues to assist with providing medical care, emergency food and supplies to those affected and continues to help.

500,000 Assyrian Christian refugees continue to languish in camps in and outside Iraq without any hope or future.

As the first relief truck to cross the border following the end of the war, we continue to help them, now in our sixth year of doing so with practical assistance including food, medicine, basic supplies and help getting home.

136,000 homes were affected in Typhoon Moracot, the worst Typhoon to hit in Taiwan's history with total devastation - our team travelled to southern Taiwan and assisted on site with direct help to those who lost their homes and the Team went immediately to help on site and continues to assist. Please pray that God will supply for the finances needed. Ken Joseph Junior

Happy New Year my brothers and sisters asking special prayer for GODS strength just to stay alive I am homeless and almost froze to death last night and if I do not get a miracle you won't have to worry about anymore of these e-mails. GOD richly bless you, brother Danny Pray for our brother that he will find a shelter and that his live situation will change.

I am in great need of prayer for a number of years my prayers have been unanswered. Yet my prayers have gone unanswered for far too long. I feel as if others have gotten their prayers answered and demons have closed doors of opportunities on me, my family, and my Friends. I have decades of failures, injuries and loses. I apologize for being brief, but I want to get straight to the point. I am born again, but under attack. I know my verses and what to do, but I am still being attacked and harmed. I was told I need Angelic deliverance under God. Being born again is just the beginning. Please pray for me as I pray for you. May God be highly

Blessed.

My Prayer requests are as follows:

- My several traumatic brain injuries healed. Angels who can lead my mind to Godly success, I call them “mind angels”. Reconstruction surgery success. Success in brain healing protocols by Null

- Marriage to T. Sauer, welcoming children.

- Physical Removal of evil spirits in our lives who might want to bate and switch God’s true will from our lives. Remove Evil spirits who use vulgar, hate, sexism, abortionist, racist, failure, bad luck, lies, addictions, and many threats of failure, loses, and hurting us and others.

- Bell/Sauer Inc. Property management and Valor Bank working with Mike Murdock over seas ministries. Mine and Tom's P/T Real Estate Life coaching career working with Robert and Gary under Mike Murdock ministries. New great friends to help in professional success of me, and my family. Me and Sauer's business and writing ideas to be well written and successfully accepted to the Glory of God and those we work for and work with.

- Money to pay for Mike Murdock’s $1000, millionaire's pledge. To be successful under Mike Murdock's pledges to help his over seas ministry in our work. The money for a new job and training with Real Estate Associate Program by the middle of Jan 2010.

- Restoration of money lost over my life time.

- My house being sold for a really great price. Dream home.

- My family and friends coming to love Jesus Christ more and more.

- Remove all of this bad luck from me and my family and Permission granted to be a winner to help Murdock Ministries.

- Removal of any one working evil roots against me, my family, and my friends. The removal and breaking away of evil spirits stealing from our lives leaving failure, closed doors, and lost.

- Restoration of my old friendships with Carolyn and Tom my old class mates.

Please keep me and my in your prayers as you and your are in our prayers.

Yours Sincerely Mary

Pray for Afar of Ethiopia

Afar of Ethiopia
The Afar claim to be descendants of Ham, Noah's son. The Afar who live in the desert inhabit one of the most rugged regions in the world, known as the Afar Plain or the Danakil Desert. Most of the Afar are nomads who herd sheep, goats, cattle, and camels. A man's wealth is measured by the size of his herds. Rural Afar live in camps surrounded by thorn barricades, which protect them from the attacks of wild animals or enemy tribesmen. They are Muslim, but many hold to pre-Islamic beliefs and customs. They believe that certain trees and groves have sacred powers. Spirits of the dead are believed to be very powerful.

Ministry Obstacles
To follow Jesus among the Afar is to risk losing status in the community, as well as possibly losing family and friends. These are serious losses.

Outreach Ideas
Ethiopia has many Christians, in various tribes. Perhaps some will remember to carry the good news of Jesus to the Afar. Pray to that end.

Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray the few followers of Jesus among the Afar will find each other, and faithfully fellowship together. Pray they will grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and grow in numbers. Pray they will be excellent witnesses for the Lord's goodness among family and friends.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Afar community will be able to prepare their children for the rapidly changing conditions of the 21st century. Pray for the availability of good schools, and that parents will make schooling high priority for their children.

Pray for Palaung, Rumai of Myanmar (Burma)

Palaung, Rumai of Myanmar (Burma)
The Palaung traditionally have practiced a mixture of Animism and Buddhism. Many associate Buddhism with a pacifistic lifestyle, but the Palaung in Myanmar have a 40-year history of armed resistance through the Palaung State Liberation Army. Some practice nat worship, nats being the spirits of inanimate objects such as rocks, mountains and rivers, as well as the spirits of deceased ancestors.

Ministry Obstacles
Myanmar is difficult for missionaries to enter and work freely. Also, the animistic Palaung need the Holy Spirit, not the "nats", to lead them to a knowledge of the Son of God.

Outreach Ideas
Gospel radio broadcasts in the language of the Palaung would be very helpful, but are not now available. The Jesus film is available in their language.

Pray for the followers of Christ
Give thanks for the believers among the Palaung, even though they are few. Pray the Lord will give them the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, to know Him better.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Rumai Palaung will be given a desire to know God's salvation in Jesus, and that the Lord will soon satisfy that desire.

Scripture Focus
"You purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation." Rev 5:9

Prayer List GPN 01-05-2010

GPN 01-05-2010

“God always speaks loud enough to make a willing soul hear.” Deuter. 5:27

This is the first email for 2010. Also this year God is calling us to stand in the gap for those in need. What a privilege to be able to enter the throne room of heaven, knowing He will listen to our prayers.

Much blessings to you, Roberto Wijnhof.

Please pray for my situation at my work. Everybody is ignoring me, they just don't want me! I know that the Lord knows what is the truth about this situation. But now I see that these people here really don't want me as a person. My time for leaving is coming up soon. So please stand in agreement that I will leave when I want to leave (not be forced to) and that I can go to a place where I can use my God-given talents and skill much better. Mrs. C.F.

Please pray for the central African republic, we as churches in this part of the world need encouragement. Pastor Ngoualesso Narlais

This is a very serious plea for Rifqa's life. I was there at the very first court date, saw first hand how nasty, twisted and how evil her father and his attorneys are and most of all how frightened Rifqa was, shaking like a leave.

We can not just sit back and allow the system to sent her back to her parents to die, even if all we can do is stand in the gap for Rifqa and pray for her life, we have done our Father's will. Love in Christ Louise.

Please pray for God to protect my marriage from satan. Teresa S.

Please Pray for myself and my business, needing finances and jobs. Brian Cull / Tri Star Construction. Gods said if two or more agree it shall be done. Thank You Very Much and Bless you all for Helping send Prayers to God & Jesus Christ.

I praise God for giving me my calling. Pray for a spirit of repentance to come upon the church in Russia and purge it of all unrighteousness and self-serving, and that the Holy Spirit would have His way. Pray that God would send more labourers here.

Pray for the ministry of Os and Angie Hillman.

God fearing girls for our sons AC & VC here from overseas. Please pray that we (parents) could marry them before they leave in a month’s time. With God everything is possible. He hears prayers said from the bottom of hearts. Gratitude J.M.C.

We would like to thank you for all of your amazing supports, and prayers throughout this entire year, 2009 was very fruitful year in the Ministries and family as well, as so many lives were changed, healed, and so many testimonies of how Jesus touched their lives through this Ministries, Many new churches was planted, and many Pastors raised and trained, in our Bible school at C.O.M, W.W Nakuru Kenya, Countries that we reached, Pastors that we trained, all are thankful to this work.

As we continue with this journey in 2010 of saving souls as well planting churches and training Pastors, as well feeding children in our 3 Children homes, We need your Helps, prayers and supports more than ever, as we see these last days how many are trying to stop preaching’s of the Gospel through satanic tricks, help us to move forward, and preach Jesus to the world.

We love you and honour you and pray for you that you prosper, and have good health to serve God in your age, remember the words of Jesus, in Luke 6: 38 Give, and it shall be given you, good measure, pressed down and shaken together, and running over, shall MEN give into your bosom------".

We are making the difference, Together we will advance His Kingdom and destroy all the work of the wicked one.

Yours in the Gospel.

Urgent prayer and action needed for missionary arrested in North Korea

We are writing to you today with an urgent prayer and action request for Robert Park, a Korean-American missionary. He is believed to have been arrested and detained by North Korean authorities soon after crossing the Tumen River from China into North Korea at 5pm on Christmas Day.

Mr. Park, who runs Global Justice Prayer Network, carried with him a letter addressed to the North Korean leadership in which he appealed for an end to the country’s notorious prison camps.

He wrote:

“To Mr. Kim Jong Il and North Korea's Leaders: I proclaim Christ’s love and forgiveness towards you today. God promises mercy and clemency for those who repent. He promises forgiveness for every sin and re-birth through the Holy Spirit for those who believe Christ died for the atonement of all their sins, as a sacrifice from God, given in love. He is the true and living God. He loves you and wants to save you and all of North Korea today. Please open your borders so that we may bring food, provisions, medicine, necessities, and assistance to those who are struggling to survive. Please close down all concentration camps and release all political prisoners today, and allow care teams to enter to minister healing to those who have been tortured and traumatized. All we are asking is for all North Koreans to be free, safe and have life. With Love, Respect and Goodwill Towards All People.”

Please pray for Robert Park.

Pray for his release, and for the impact of his action. Pray that God would enable Kim Jong-il and other North Korean leaders to read Robert Park’s message, and that their hearts would be touched. Pray that the international community would take this opportunity to increase political and diplomatic pressure on North Korea to open up its prison camps for international inspection and bring an end to its grotesque abuse of human rights, which is among the very worst in the world.
