ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (ANS) -- Faith Comes By Hearing Audio Bible Ministry recently added four languages to its expanding catalog of recorded Scripture.
According to a news release from Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH, now at 737 languages, these combined recordings represent a potential outreach to more than 5.7 billion people - or over three-quarters of the world's population.
The new releases are:
Balantak - Indonesia
Kolami, Northwestern - India
Shuar - Ecuador
Zapoteco de Zoogocho - Mexico

Kolami is the largest people group of the four, while the smallest is Zapoteco de Zoogocho, spoken by about 1,400 people in Mexico. Combined, these newest releases represent more than 278,000 people who now have God's Word in audio available to them.
In addition to these new languages, FCBH has also released the Arabic Old Testament in audio. This recording recently completed by the ministry will provide access to the entire Bible for Arabic speakers. Behind only English and Spanish, Arabic is the third most streamed and downloaded language on the ministry's digital platform.
Faith Comes By Hearing said in its news release that the min istry remains committed to the mission of making God's Word freely available to everyone in their native language, and is encouraged that supporters continue to help make this possible.
"Whether it be through resources, technology, our talented and dedicated staff, or ministry partners from all over the world - God's provision continues to make our work possible," said Jerry Jackson, FCBH founder and president, speaking in the news release.
Jackson has seen the growth of a small tape-lending library established in 1972 to what is now the world's largest resource of digital Scripture content.
Collectively known as the Digital Bible Platform, Faith Comes By Hearing offers free access to this digital collection of Scripture via streaming, downloads and podcasts. In addition, the Bible.is and Deaf Bible.is apps are available for mobile devices.
Approved developers and ministries can also have access to the content on the Digital Bible Platform to incorporate into their apps, software and websites.

For those areas that do not yet have regular access to the Internet or mobile devices, FCBH also provides Audio New Testaments on solar-powered Proclaimers for listening groups. There are more than 330,000 Proclaimers in use worldwide.
The ministry's goal is to record and provide access to the Word of God in every translated language.
