Muong in Vietnam

Muong in Vietnam
Until the revolution in 1945, Muong social organization was aristocratic, and a headman had absolute authority in his jurisdiction. Since the revolution, the Muong community has undergone enormous changes. Their nation has been transformed from a feudalistic society into a socialistic society. The Muong practice their traditional ethnic religion, worshiping ancestral spirits and other supernatural deities.
Ministry Obstacles
There has been little missionary work among the Muong, even though they are a large people group.
Outreach Ideas
Evangelists and church planters are needed to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Muong.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray the few believers among the Muong will be united around the truth of Scripture, and will lead holy lives, zealous to know and serve Jesus Christ.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Muong community will increasingly hunger to know the creator God. Pray also they will be able to live peacefully and safely.
