Thae of Laos

Thae of Laos
The Thae (or The) ethnic group inhabits the Sanxai District of Attapu Province in southern Laos. Sanxai District is one of the most sparsely populated areas of Laos, with a total population of only 12,329 in 2,273 families according to the 1995 census. In southern Laos, people from different ethnic groups are so mixed together that some people do not even know what tribe or people group they belong to. Their original languages have also blended together to a large degree.
Ministry Obstacles
This tribe lives in a remote portion of Laos, and is so small in number it may be difficult to find them. They likely have no knowledge of Christianity.
Outreach Ideas
No Christian resources are known to be available in the language of this tribe. Pray for those trained in storying from scripture to be able to contact this group and somehow communicate the Gospel of Christ to them.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There are quite likely no followers of Christ in this group today. But pray for those the Lord will soon call to himself, that they will learn to be filled with God's Spirit according to Ephesians 5:18-20.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray this small tribe will be able to care adequately for their families, and will be able to provide a good education for their children.
