Baangi, Cibaangi of Nigeria The Baangi people live in northern Niger State, in Nigeria. They are centered around Bangi town which is south of Bena. Some speak the Baangi language, and others speak Hausa in order to identify with Hausa culture. They practice a mixture of Animism and Islam, with Islam more evident in the towns.
