We live in a country that presents us with
so many freedoms. Freedom of speech. Freedom of religion. The right to
vote. The list goes on.
But there is another kind of freedom worth celebrating, and it only comes from God — freedom from sin and death.
Marco thought he would find freedom as the
leader of a Mexican gang. Instead he only found drug addiction,
violence and prison. Freedom never felt so far away.
But some fellow inmates who had become
Christians in prison through Every Home for Christ arranged for Marco to
hear the Gospel. After resisting for weeks, Marco was won over by their
steadfast love for him. A tearful Marco confessed, “Here I am, Lord! If
you can use this junkie, remove all of my anger and forgive me!”
All over the world, people trapped by
darkness are finding freedom in Jesus. Our Founding Fathers fought for
the United States to be free. Harriet Tubman fought for the slaves to be
free. And you can fight for the lost to be free — when you reach them
with the Good News of salvation.
“Only the power of Jesus Christ could
change and transform my life,” Marco says. “My body is still imprisoned,
but my spirit is free!”
