The Khampti are a peace loving people. They are very strong believers in Theravada Buddhism. Every house has a prayer room and they pray every morning and evening with offerings of flowers and food. They are settled agriculturists, and use the plough drawn by a single animal, either an oxen or a buffalo. The Khamti are renowned for their craftsmanship. Their priests use wood, bone or ivory to carve religious statues.

The Buddhist Khampti people may not understand their need for forgiveness of sin, and that provision for forgiveness has already been provided through Christ's death. Pray for understanding to be given.
