The term Rawat signifies a prince; it is a title borne by the relatives of a king. Traditionally, the Rawat are a landowning community engaged in cultivation. Their attitude towards education, medical and family welfare programs is favorable. Their family deity is Ashapridebi. Village level and regional level deities are Bherujee and Matajee.
Ministry Obstacles
The Hindu Rawat have little concept of a personal, creator God who loves them personally.
