Nara, Nialetic in Eritrea

Nara, Nialetic in Eritrea
The Nara live north of the Gash River in southwestern Eritrea. In the past, the Nara were one of the Sudanic tribes that were raided for slaves by other peoples. Ancient records refer to the Nara. Both an inscription in the fourth century and an Arab traveler's log in the ninth century document the location of the Nara.
Ministry Obstacles
Scripture resources are needed in the Nara language.
Outreach Ideas
The Nara nearly have enough believers to disciple their own people group. Pray the believers will develop a vision for this task, and be equipped to do it.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There are a non-trivial number of believers among the Nara. Pray the Lord will encourage their hearts and strengthen them in every good word and deed.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray each person in the Nara community may soon hear the Gospel message in such a way that they understand it. Pray for several such exposures, as it usually requires several to fully understand and believe.
Scripture Focus
"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea." Habakkuk 2:14
