XENIA, OH (ANS, July 22, 2016) – Olympic dreams are only achieved through defeat and victory, through Struggle and Triumph! Now, just in time for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, a newly-rereleased film of that name depicts the reality, that struggles are a natural part of achieving anything great.
mi AthletesInAction Logo“The Olympians featured in this film have achieved remarkable triumphs, but not without facing enormous obstacles. Enjoy the journey as these athletes share how they responded to their struggles and used them to fuel their pursuits of greatness,” said Shawn Keith of Athletes in Action in a media release obtained by ASSIST News Service (www.assistnews.net ).
Keith added: “As athletes around the world wrap up training and start to travel to Rio to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics this August, Christians have an opportunity to reach more people for Christ through the platform of sports.”
To help believers in their witness for Christ using sports-themed outreaches, Athletes in Action is offering a new edition of the film Struggle and Triumph on DVD as an outreach tool for groups, churches, or individuals.
mi Daniel Dias 07222016The film showcases the details of Olympians’ stories of faith in the face of the trials as they compete on the world’s largest stage. The 33-minute film offers personal stories of four Olympians representing all three Olympic games - Summer, Winter and Paralympic – including:
* Daniel Dias – Brazilian Paralympic swimmer, whose strength comes from beyond his athletic training
* Li Yan – Chinese Olympic medalist and National Team coach in speed skating, who models faith and perseverance to her team
* Lauryn Williams – American Olympic track and bobsled medalist, who found unique perspective and peace in the face of defeat
* Wilson Kipsang – Kenyan marathon world-record holder, who is helping his community grow and thrive steadily, just like his training regimen
