Luoluopo, Southeastern in China

Luoluopo, Southeastern in China
The Luoluopo have been living in southern China for more than 500 years. When a Luoluopo dies, his or her relatives organize a "dance of the spirits." They believe this dance will help the soul find its way back to the resting place of its ancestors. The Luoluopo hold to folk beliefs. In addition to their intricate system of ancestor worship, the Lolo believe in two gods who created the world, Mit Do and Ket Do. The Southeastern Luoluopo are one of the most neglected and Gospel-starved peoples in the region.
Ministry Obstacles
A complete absence of Christians, with no history of Christianity, is an obstacle to the Gospel, but isn't insurmountable.
Outreach Ideas
Telling these people stories from Scripture would be a good way to communicate. Gospel films and recordings are needed, as well. Pray for workers.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Although there likely are no followers of Jesus among the Luoluopo today, pray for those the Lord will soon lead to himself. Pray they will be sent teachers and pastors to help them become established in the faith. Pray they will be completely delivered from their animistic past.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the Luoluopo of China and Vietnam to find true life in Jesus Christ, that they be set free from the bondage of fear. Pray they will be sent mature Christians to share the message of Christ with them in a form they can understand.
Scripture Focus
"He will have compassion on the poor and needy, And the lives of the needy He will save." Psalm 72:13
