Prayer Request GPN 04-09-2010

GPN 04-09-2010

“Salvation is more than re-formation; it is a transformation.” Roman 12:2

I wish you a fine weekend with a lot of transformation. Roberto Wijnhof

On a daily basis we hear bad news. It can be the death of a loved one. Or the diagnosis of a incurable disease and a limited period of time to be alive. A stillborn baby. Losing your eyesight or a limb. A child that is rebellious and overcome with addictions. It is easy to be overcome by these circumstances. Pray for those who mourn in your community. Pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort them. Pray for the acceptance of the good news of the gospel according to Isaiah 61:1-3. Pray that their hearts will be steadfast, trusting in the Lord. (Ps.112:7-8).

I give glory to the Lord Almighty for your prayer for my mother in-law Jamima, she is receiving rapid healing from her heart problem. Pastor H. Y

The murder of Eugene Terre’blanche, the leader of the AWB (Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging), by two youths last week has caused quite a stir in this nation. The murder coincidently followed after a political leader sang a song that is regarded as hate speech. The president has addressed the nation and asked that everyone should remain calm during this time. Members of the AWB stated that they will not retaliate or take revenge. Pray that this incident will lead to a time of renewed reconciliation amongst different culture groups in South Africa. Ask God to renew the hearts of the citizens of this nation (Ez.36:26). Ask God to reveal His plan for the nation to the Body of Christ. Pray that the Church will arise and provide counsel to the nation through prophecy.

Hi my brothers and sisters asking special prayer for GODS strength and provision and also special protection as there seems to be so much more warfare on the streets these days. GOD richly bless you brother Danny.

Dwayne R is a Christian friend of mine who was set up to be robbed by two co-worker acquaintances of his. Dwayne went to their house after being invited to “hangout.” One of the men set his pit bull dog to attack Dwayne so the other man could then rob him. Dwayne had a gun in his backpack that he carried and he got the gun and shot in self defence, both men were wounded and one of them died months later from complications. The state of AZ went after Dwayne even though the man with the pit bull had a long lengthy criminal record and had caused Wayne bodily harm by the dog attack – it bit his face and other areas badly. Dwayne is being told by his lawyers that if he goes to trial he will get 25 yrs to life, if he takes a plea bargain and a guilty plea this week he will get 7 yrs with 4 yrs probation after he gets out. He is a Godly man who loves the Lord and who does not want to say he was guilty when he wasn’t. Please pray for Dwayne and this situation, God tells us that no weapon formed against us will prosper, and that any tongue raised against us You will condemn, that is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. Isaiah 54:17 Thanks on behalf of Dwayne. Blessings, Linda Rollins, Arizona, USA.

Pls pray for Ms. Julie B. for her lingering illness. Harvest Time Philippines.

A quick message to update you on Ferol and Mickey--don't know what you may have gotten information about. We've been out of town and didn't get much information until yesterday. They went to Houston about two weeks ago, expecting for Mickey to have heart surgery to repair a bad valve. After getting there, she had another heart attack, and now the plan is to put in a pacemaker today. Her heart is too weak for surgery. Ferol had breathing problems yesterday and finally went to the emergency room there in Houston, where they found his oxygen level to be 80, which is what it was when he passed out in Clayton, so they admitted him to the hospital last night to treat that problem. If all goes well, they may get to go home Thursday. I'll send more information as I get it. Coby and Kelly are in Houston now, Kelley has been there the whole time.

I greet you in the name of Jesus. I too need your prayer as well because in May i will go to American Embassy to ask for a Visa to travel to U.S.A. God bless you so much, Rev. John Bahebwa.

Tarving city like this is dreadfully common. "For the parents, seeing their children must be doomed to poverty, think it better at once to let the soul escape in search of a more happy asylum than to linger in one condemned to want and wretchedness." The infanticide is, however, exclusively confined to the destruction of female children, the sons being permitted to live in order to continue the ancestral sacrifices. One mother

I met, who was employed by the mission, told the missionary in ordinary conversation that she had suffocated in turn three of her female children within a few days of birth; and, when a fourth was born, so enraged was her husband to discover that it was also a girl that he seized it by the legs and struck it against the wall and killed it. Dead children, and often living infants, are thrown out on the common among the grave mounds, and may be seen there any morning being gnawed by dogs. Mr. Tremberth of the Bible

Christian Mission, leaving by the south gate early one morning, disturbed a dog eating a still living child that had been thrown over the wall during the night. Its little arm was crunched and stripped of flesh, and it was whining inarticulately--it died almost immediately. Please pray for this what is happening in this horrible story.

Religious Liberty Partnership: Cyprus statement on Nigeria

CSW’s Chief Executive, Mervyn Thomas, chairs the Religious Liberty Partnership (RLP), a group of over twenty NGOs, amplifying the voice of persecuted Christians internationally. A recent RLP statement details a range of advocacy efforts on Nigeria, and calls for the worldwide Christian community to pray for the crisis in Northern and central Nigeria.
Hope resurrected

- Alongside Jesus’ resurrection hope at Easter last week, we joyfully celebrated the news that Gao Zhisheng is alive! This week after Gao’s further conversations with family and Bob Fu, founder of US-based NGO, ChinaAid, our hopes and prayers are strengthened for his full return to normal life.

- Alimujiang Yimiti is another of our cases for concern. He was sentenced to fifteen years’ imprisonment in his native Xinjiang province for “providing state secrets to overseas organisations” – a charge ruled “arbitrary” by the UN and vigorously campaigned on by CSW staff. Please pray for him.

I am desperately in need of need of a computer for Lord's ministry and a projector for the work of evangelism. I need your earnest prayers for God to provide for His ministry. Pastor Haruna Y.
