Testimony: Peace and security has always been a problem in the predominantly Muslim island of Mindanao in southern Philippines. Rebel groups assert their rights through violent means. But now, former Muslim rebels are veering away from violence as they discover Jesus and experience his peace and miracles. Ordinarily, Muslims are only seen worshipping inside a mosque. But in a Christian church in southern Philippines, Muslims and Christians are worshipping together. A Muslim tribal group is worshipping with their indigenous instruments, leaders of different Muslim rebel groups are praying and listening to the Word of God, and a Muslim lady is giving her testimony on how God healed her blindness. In the place where rebellion, kidnappings and violence are rampant, the Christian churches are aggressive in establishing solidarity among the Muslims and interfaith groups to usher in peace in the land.

Please be in prayer today for the brother of my very good friend, Irene. His name is Raymond, and he is in the hospital with a life-threatening problem concerning one of his feet. Unless God works a miracle, he could lose the foot, or his life. Thank you so very much for interceding for Raymond and his family today. Blessings to All, Helen

IRAN: Maryam and Marzieh in court this week

Thank you for your ongoing prayers for Maryam and Marzieh, the Christians standing trial for apostasy in the Iranian courts. This week their court case has resumed, so please continue to pray for them as they await the outcome of the trial.

Please pray for pastor Bert G. from The Netherlands who is travelling to India next Monday. That his flight will go anyway. Because of the problems in Europe with the volcano in Iceland. Pray for Gods blessing over him and his family while he is there.

Please help me to pray for healing, i have been sick for 15yrs, please help me as many of my friends dream of death and things like that, I don’t want to die. Thanks Christian.

Marriage and the family are society’s most fundamental and enduring institutions. For thousands of years of human history, marriage has been the cornerstone institution of every civilization. When marriage and the family are neglected, the results are catastrophic for society. Almost every social ill can be traced back to the breakdown of marriage and the family. Your community is only as strong as the family. It is impossible to build a strong, viable and healthy society when marriages and families are disintegrating. Pray for married couples in your community. If you are married, pray for your spouse. Pray the Word of God over your own marriage as well as those in your community according to Eph 5:22- 33. Ask God’s blessing on the work of ministries that are specifically focused on families and marriage, e.g. Focus on the Family.

This week we pray for trials in Iran and Turkey, arising from anti-Christian legislation and nationalism respectively. Violent attacks continue in Nigeria, and we step up petitioning for religious freedom in the run-up to the general election.

TURKEY: Murderers of Christian book publishers brought to trial

In April 2007, three Christian publishing house workers in Malatya were brutally murdered by young Turkish nationalists. Sadly, the ensuing public focus was on the men’s Christian activities as opposed to the murderers’ crimes.

Highlighted in CSW’s 2008 apostasy report, Turkey often ostracises Christians in a climate of religious nationalism. To be Muslim is considered a central feature of Turkish national identity, and the consequences for Christians are sometimes grave, as in Malatya.

At the start of the trial, CSW’s National Director Stuart Windsor said, “This case is seen as a landmark to assess Turkey’s commitment to religious tolerance.”

As the three-year case resumes this week, please pray for peace to rest on the Christian community, and for love, grace and justice to be evident in court.

The final Mighty Men Conference takes place at Shalom Farm, KwaZulu-Natal from 16-18 April 2010. At the conference they will be praying for South Africa amongst other prayer requests. They invite believers in South Africa to join with them in prayer from 19:00 to 21:00 on April 16. Please pray for the protection of everyone that will travel to the farm to attend the conference. Pray for the protection against accidents, sickness, etc. Ask the Lord to bless the activities and that every man will encounter God in a special way.
Nigerian violence carries on near Jos

Sporadic attacks against Christians continued this week in Plateau State, with cars and houses set alight and injuries sustained. This follows the killings of hundreds of people in Jos South earlier this year. CSW has been praying for peace for Plateau State since 2001- please persevere in prayer for reconciliation and justice.
Please pray as the team prepares to assist with the terrible 7.1 Magnitude earthquake that hit Qinghai Province.
Please pray for the nearly 500,000 Assyrian Christian refugees from Iraq and efforts to assist them. Ken Joseph Jr. Japan.

Protestant Churches (Turkey) ask you to join the small congregations of Turkey along with many churches worldwide to give 2-3 minutes to prayer for Turkey in your churches on Sunday April 18, 2010. To pray that the church in Turkey is anointed and strengthened in the Holy Spirit to live for the glory of God; pray that the outcome of this will bring hope and blessing to the land and people of Turkey as hearts and eyes are opened to Jesus Christ and to the Kingdom of God. In this brief time of prayer you will be joining millions all over the world. Pray that God will place His word upon the lips of believers as we pray for Turkey. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to believers and that prophetic utterances will be released over that land. Pray that the gates will be lifted up and opened, for the King of Glory to enter in (Ps.24:7-10).

Please pray for my court case of forgery with my bros sanjiv, who cheated me and sold all my assets. The court date is 20 April, may God bless me with justice, favor and victory in this case and unite all my bros and sis together and save them. Lord is doing miracles and wonders in this case.
