Prayer Request GPN 04-02-2010

GPN 04-02-2010

“It is finished. And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.” John 19:30

This shows us how much He loved us. Have a blessed Easter-weekend.

Roberto Wijnhof

I need your earnest prayers for my mother in-law Jamima who had a heart problem. She is in the hospital receiving treatment. Pray for her divine healing. Secondly, I am a missionary from Nigeria to Niger for four years, planning to go back to Nigeria on the 29/5/2010, I need divine protection from the Lord because we will follow through Jos to Taraba. We need protection from Muslims. Pastor H.Y

Since I asked specific prayers about these local witches, some good things have happened. Most of the harassing phone calls have stopped in which the person would hang up right after I answered or speak out bizarre things. I now use my phone message recorder to receive calls, and now any callers like that are not leaving messages.

Also, in recent weeks I saw cars that had bumper stickers on them with occultic and witchcraft symbols, etc. The fact that they are coming around to my place meant that they were probably 'surveying' the home

and cars, and looking to throw onto my vehicles some materials that were 'empowered' by their ceremonies, things that I used to do as a witch. And the fact that I have directly seen them means they have been exposed for coming to my neighbourhood when they don't live anywhere close to here (we don't see their cars at any of the nearby houses or streets).

The Lord is giving good answers, and prayers are still requested to beat these concentrated and concerted evils, divination ways, and occultic practices to a complete stop. Mrs. C.

Hi, my brothers and sisters I would like to say Happy Easter and that without your prayers I do not think I would be alive to see this Easter and finally asking special prayer for strength and provision to make it through the week the weather is slowly getting warmer and I feel so much better. GOD richly bless you brother, Danny

For the past two years, Orissa has been a deadly land for Christians, as hundreds have been murdered in anti-Christian acts. For those who have survived, much of their freedoms have been restricted, and thousands of homes have been burned, totally destroying their livelihoods. Yet people are still coming to Christ, according to Gospel for Asia. In fact, in one district, 40 individuals recently came to Christ. Praise God for the new life that has come to this area (John 12.24). Pray that every new convert will have access to the written Word of God and that they will grow spiritually. Pray according to Col.1:9-12 for them.

BURMA: breakthrough strides! CSW’s calls for a UN commission of inquiry have been supported by the British and Australian Governments - a major leap forward ahead of this year’s Burmese elections. Pray the Change for Burma! campaign will continue to make an impact for those suffering and see how easy it is to get personally involved!

Please pray that my son's and daughter-in-law's blinded eyes would be opened and their deafened ears would be unstopped to see and hear my specific needs. During this time in my recovery from open heart surgery, I do not have any income except for Social Security. I am unable to work full-time until the summer. God has been faithful so far to supply my needs, but things are very, very tight and I am having an extremely difficult time just making ends meet. God always tells us to be specific about our needs, and so I am doing that. This must be the time when He is going to break those final bondages that have remained from my abusive marriage.

Thank you for your prayers...because of them, I am still alive and doing well from my surgery. I know that God is faithful, and I appreciate your continued prayers and intercession on both my behalf and my son's families. In His Love and Care, Helen

Please pray for Pastor Subodh Nag who is based in Bolangir, Orissa and oversees the work in that region. Pray for Asish, Ishmail and Rajiv who join with him to serve the western section of Orissa. They are in the region that witnessed and still is witnessing persecution of believers. Pray that the churches will emerge stronger and bolder than before.

As we commemorate the 150th anniversary of the 1860 revival in South Africa, we encourage people to pray with renewed fervency for revival in our nation. From 3-12 April we invite all those towns and cities that experienced revival over the past 350 years in South Africa to arrange special initiatives to pray that God will show us mercy and again open the wells of revival in their city/town. Give thanks to the Lord for His great deeds in the past and ask Him to repeat them in your community (Isa.64:1-5; Ps.85:6). Read Acts 2:17-21 and pray according to these verses, that God will again pour out His Spirit upon your city/town and open the former wells of revival.

Pray for Pastor Basant, Pr. David and Anora who are doing a wonderful ministry in New Jalpaiguri, Sikkim and neighbouring Bhutan areas in the Bengal. Remember them in your prayers and the growth of the Church. Pray that God may protect them and the members of the churches from all the evils. Pray for more workers as the work is growing rapidly in these fields that have lots of tea gardens. Many people abandon their children after birth here.

Sudan will be holding parliamentary and presidential elections from April 5 through April 12, 2010. Originally scheduled for April 2009, voting was postponed because of a controversy regarding the national census. Voting will also take place in Southern Sudan (which constitutes 1/3 of the population) to elect a South Sudan president and members of the South Sudan parliament. A ceasefire was declared in February 2010 between rebels of the Darfur region and government forces in an attempt to ensure peace during the elections. Sudan is ranked number 30 on the Open Doors World Watch List 2010 of the top 50 nations who are the worst persecutors of Christians. Pray for peaceful and fair elections. Pray there will be no corruption in the election process. Pray there will be no violence, backlash or retaliation from the government or insurgent groups towards voters or the voting process. Pray for the people of Sudan to participate without violence and the opposition will accept the outcome of the election without conflict.

Hi, please I would like to join me in prayer, I am suppose to go to US to work at a summer Christian camp for 4 months and it's becoming very very hard for a Zimbabwean to be granted a US visa. I have done all the paperwork and only left with a visa interview scheduled on the 8th of April. I pray that God help me through the interview and help me break through financially because I don't even know where I will get money for an air ticket...I also ask you to help me pray for wisdom and another opportunity to raise while i am there in the US, I want to keep on working for God with the youths in outdoor camps.

Please help me pray for a miracle...I want a visa, a permanent job in US, wisdom, financial breakthrough and the passion for His Word. Have a blessed Easter! Yours in His Love Brighton V.
