Pray for Arab, Tunisian of Tunisia

Arab, Tunisian of Tunisia
Ancient Carthage, near modern day Tunis, was once a respected center of Christian learning, and the church flourished and spread through North Africa, in spite of persecution under the Romans. Heresies and division, aggravated by the lack of Scripture in the North African language, steadily weakened the church over the centuries until Carthage fell to invading Arabs in 689. By the 12th century the last North African church finally closed its doors.

Ministry Obstacles
Many centuries of misunderstanding must be overcome.

Outreach Ideas
Persevering prayer is needed to overcome many barriers to faith in Jesus. Gospel radio and television accompanied by fervent prayer can accomplish much.

Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the few Arab Christian believers in Tunisia, that they will grow in their love for Christ and for each other, forgiving one another just as Christ forgave them.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the Arabs to increasingly recognize their need for a sacrifice for their sins, and to acknowledge Jesus as the sacrifice which God the Father has provided.

"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea." Habakkuk 2:14
