Pray for Tamil Muslim of India
Tamil Muslim of India
The Tamil Muslims are largely defined by their language, Tamil. They are drawn from various subgroups, especially the Syed, Sheikh, Labbai, Maraikkayar, and Rawuthar. They are mainly businessmen and industrial workers. Some are in white-collar jobs and some are engaged in embroidery work. Their relation with the other Tamil caste groups and the Hindu communities is cordial. Some members of the community are descendants of Tamil women and Arab traders.
Ministry Obstacles
To follow Jesus within an Indian Muslim community is to risk much that is important in life. Family, friends, and status are included in what is at risk.
Outreach Ideas
Christians can communicate the Gospel of grace by using stories from Scripture, as well as films and recordings. Sustained prayer is needed to prepare hearts to understand and believe.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Although there may be no followers of Jesus among the Tamil Muslim community today, pray for those the Lord will soon call to Himself. Pray they will grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, learning to live in the power of the Lord's Spirit. Pray they will be without any kind of impurity, or greed.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the Tamil Muslims to live in peace with their neighbors, and be able to care adequately for their families. Pray for employment opportunities.

Pray for Punjabi of Canada
Punjabi of Canada
The Punjabi people are from the Punjabi region, straddling the border between India and Pakistan. This region has been host to some of the oldest civilizations in the world, including the Indus Valley civilization. There are a number of Punjabi emigrant communities scattered around the world. They are traditionally Hindu, Muslim, or Sikh.
Ministry Obstacles
The Punjabi religious background presents an obstacle to the Gospel, but can also become a springboard for the Gospel.
Outreach Ideas
This people group is very accessible to the Gospel message, being located in Canada. Canadian believers can carry the message of salvation in Christ to these people.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There are Christian believers among the Punjabi of Canada. Pray they will live lives that honor the Lord, being united in love around truth.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Punjabi will increasingly hunger for forgiveness of their sins, found only through the finished work of Christ.

Pray for Hmong Bua of China
Hmong Bua of China
The majority of Hmong Bua are animists. In recent years the Hmong Bua in Jinping may have benefited from the Christian "radio revival" among the neighboring Hmong Daw, who speak a similar language. As many as 20,000 of the neighboring Hmong Daw people have turned to Christ in southern Yunnan since 1994, due to gospel radio broadcasts. The Hmong Bua are able to understand most of the Hmong Daw language and have probably been affected also.
Ministry Obstacles
A low level of literacy will be an obstacle if the Gospel is presented only in written form.
Outreach Ideas
The Gospel presented in oral forms is appropriate, including radio, Gospel recordings, films, and storytellers onsite.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray the followers of Christ among the Hmong Bua will fellowship together, growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray they lead holy lives, and are zealous in their commitment to Christ.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Hmong Bua will indeed profit from the Gospel radio programs directed toward the neighboring Hmong Daw community. Pray they will listen and understand.

“The world crowns success; God crowns faithfulness.” Judges 7:21; Neh. 8:7.
It is clear for you and me where we should strive for in life.
Greetings Roberto Wijnhof
Please pray for my marriage. My husband (Greg) has been gone for 2.5 years due to his military activation. He left a warm, loving husband, very much in love with me eager to return to me. He mentioned hanging by a thread emotionally due to the separation. In Feb. he was still warm and loving. In March, he seemed cold and distant. Now he says he cannot feel anything for me. They are talking of extending his deployment. Please pray my husband's loving feelings for me will be restored. I love my husband with all my heart - our marriage is being attacked by our separation. Please pray God will restore our love to one another completely. We need urgent prayer; please intercede on our behalf that the Lord will save our marriage. I believe God wants to protect what He has created and joined together.
Please pray for George. George is looking for work. He has the possibility for an interview within the next five days if he is chosen. He desperately needs work. Lord Jesus, hear George's cries. Strengthen his heart and give him faith. C.D.
"Your words bring great joy to me"
It is a privilege to share encouraging news from Cuba: In December, we asked for prayer for Reverend Rodriguez who faced trial on trumped up charges and whose trial was suspended at the last minute, at great relief to his family. “We took pleasure in this miracle of the Lord with tears in our eyes…We firmly believe that this was just the beginning of God’s work in our favour...your prayers have been of great value”.
Pastor Omar Gude Perez was imprisoned in May 2008, without charge or trial, most likely because of the rapid growth and impact of his ministry. His wife Kenya sent this message of thanks: “Your words bring great joy to me, thank you for your support….You all can act as a channel to make history with the gospel in Cuba”.
Dear praying friend, All 4 in the family now, except yours truly until now....are suffering the same, needing 5 days of anti-bio tics injections, but slowly getting better it seems, by His Grace and your prayers. Thanks. Blessings, Arie.
NIGERIA: “…the lives of human beings are losing significance and people are killing at will…”Violent attacks in northern Nigeria continued last week, with the tragic news that a pastor and his wife were hacked to death and burnt to ashes by Muslim assailants in Bauchi. At the same time, concerns are heightening at the possible role military elements are playing in the ongoing violence in Plateau State. Please pray for your brothers and sisters of Nigeria.
Dear saints of God,
Aggressively pray for Margaret Wanjiru, Kathy Kyuna, Rahab, Deborah, Mercy N., Emmy, Lucy N., Linda, Lilian, Jennifer, Esther, Millie, Mama I., Margaret W., Zipporah K., Felistus ,Rose W., Catherine ,Monica N., Jennifer, Joan M. Susan M., Agnes, and others that God holy power set them free from deep demonic spirit of spiritual witchcraft of mind control, deception, confusion, immorality, lying and strong Jezebel spirit that target innocent God children especially in churches.
Pray that God holy power set these women free and lead to their repentance in Jesus mighty name.
Pray that God set free all the captives those women have held in bondages for years. Pray that God completely set these women free in Jesus mighty name. Ruth
Help stop the forcible return of Eritrean refugees
Your prayer today can help stop the forcible return of refugees to Eritrea, where they are seriously endangered.
Following our call for action on behalf of Eritrean refugees and asylum seekers, we are disappointed to report that, after a brief respite, forcible returns have resumed. In December, over 100 Eritrean men, women and children were imprisoned in Northern Sinai after being forcibly returned to Egypt by the Israeli Army. Since then, over 80 have been forcibly deported. Those who resisted, including a pregnant woman, were severely assaulted by Egyptian prison guards. Countless other Eritrean refugees face a similar fate and are in desperate need of our help.
JERRY KILBURN: Is having a heart cath on Monday, and desperately needs healing of his heart and lungs. He also has emphysema from years of smoking. Jerry is my ex-husband and David and Brian's father. Thanks so very much for your prayers today!!!! Blessings to All, Helen
COLOMBIA: “We are living in fear and need your solidarity and prayers...”
Just a month after CSW returned from a fact-finding and solidarity visit to Colombia, churches in six villages in southern Cordoba, Colombia, have received renewed threats from paramilitary groups.
As well as being forbidden from going out at night, the letter handed to a pastor, threatens: “Pastor of Corinto, we are not fooled. There are wolves in your midst, sneaky, predatory, skilled, bad …you ****** Evangelicals… Prepare yourselves. When we knock on your door, don’t resist us because [if you do] we will burn you alive in your house...”
Without your support, lobbying and prayer, the situation facing Colombian Christian leaders would have gone unnoticed and unreported.
Your prayers and letters to MPs and MEPs, combined with CSW’s lobbying of the Foreign Office and the European Union, resulted in them recognising the persecution of Christians by armed groups – a vital step in ensuring the Colombian Government protects vulnerable individuals.
Hi, my brothers and sisters, asking special prayer for GODS strength and provision it seems like the spiritual warfare in NYC has gone to a new level. GOD richly bless you, brother Danny

Pray for Bengali of United States
Bengali of United States
Bengalis are a heterogeneous and considerably diverse ethnic group. They are mostly concentrated in Bangladesh and the state of West Bengal in India, but are also scattered into many countries, including the USA. The Bengalis are known for their artistic and cultural achievements.
Ministry Obstacles
Bengalis in the USA may very well have a protectionist mindset, not willing to open up to Christians around them.
Outreach Ideas
American Christians need to seek out the Bengalis around them, finding ways to befriend them.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the followers of Jesus among the Bengali in the USA, few in number. Pray the Lord will give them hearts to search for Christians in the communities where they live. May they be lead to true followers of Christ, to help them grow.

Pray the Bengali in the USA will be led into contact with true disciples of Jesus, and will be protected from nominal Christians who don't represent Christ well.

Nasu, Southern of China
Nasu, Southern of China
The Southern Nasu probably originated in southern Sichuan and northern Yunnan many centuries ago. The name Nasu means "black people." The color black is revered by the Nasu. They are polytheists who attempt to placate a wide array of spirits and deities. Some spirits are considered helpful while others are evil and cause death, sickness, and destruction.
Ministry Obstacles
Today most Southern Nasu have no knowledge of Christianity. Much is needed in the way of models of Christian behavior as well as in formal instruction.
Outreach Ideas
Christians need to build bridges of friendship and trust with these people.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There may be 100 followers of Christ among this people group. Pray they will be adequately instructed in the faith, and will increasingly trust Christ for their lives, as well as for their salvation.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray these people will be rescued from the control of evil forces, and will find full freedom in Christ.

Pray for Lodha of India
Lodha of India
The Lodha are an agricultural community. Besides cultivation, they rear cattle, work as agricultural laborers and make ropes. Some claim their descent from Lav, the son of Lord Rama. In some areas, the girls are tattooed at an early age on the chin and forehand. The Lodha are moderately educated.
Ministry Obstacles
Nominal Christianity may have caused these people to have a misunderstanding as to what it means to follow Christ.
Outreach Ideas
Pray for workers to take the Gospel message to these people in both oral and written form.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the few followers of Christ among the Lodha community, that they will be united in love around truth, growing in numbers and in maturity. Pray they will put on the full armor of God, including the shield of faith.
Pray for the entire people group

Burmese of Myanmar (Burma)
Burmese of Myanmar (Burma)
The Burmese are the political, economic and religious leaders of Myanmar, formerly known as Burma. Myanmar has had a long history of coups, wars, and rebellions. The Burmese have mixed Buddhist beliefs with animistic beliefs. Their animistic beliefs center around inherently evil spirits called nats. The Burmese spend their lives trying to appease the nats. Burmese homes often have altars for the spirits, as well as a statue of Buddha. Farmers may spend more in a year on their religion than on education, health, and clothing for their families.
Ministry Obstacles
Following Christ for the Burmese may be threatening, risking attacks from evil spirits. Pray for deliverance.
Outreach Ideas
Christians need to befriend the Burmese, and also be forthright in sharing Christ with these needy people.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Please pray for the few followers of Christ among the Burmese, that they will live holy lives, being zealous to grow into the image of Christ. Pray they will be kind and compassionate to one another.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for peace in Myanmar, and for the Burmese people to hunger to know forgiveness of sin and power for living, found only in the person and work of Christ.

WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS
Jesus Christ is truth. What is truth? It is something that is actually real; it is the way things actually are; there is no falsehood or deception.
Unfortunately we live our lives sometimes believing lies, about ourselves and the world around us. When Jesus Christ came into the world, He brought truth to this earth. He said “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.” You can 100% trust God because God Himself is truth; in Him there is no lie. Jesus said many times to His disciples, “I tell you the truth.”
Falsehood and lies are the opposite of truth. The devil is a liar. The devil may tell you, “God doesn’t love you. You can’t be forgiven. You aren’t worth anything.” But God says the truth to you — He says to you things like, “I love you. You can be forgiven. You are worth so much that I sent My Son to die for you. You can have the gift of eternal life by accepting Christ as Savior and Lord.”
You and I are to be vessels of God’s truth to others. The Bible says we are to “speak the truth in love.” Don’t be harsh or unkind when you speak truth to someone; speak it gently and in love. But as we receive God’s truth and as we speak His truth to others, the world will be a better place. Let us walk in God’s truth each and every day. Jesus Christ is God’s truth in our lives.
So, this week, let us pray and ask God to
* Help us to always tell the truth
* Pour out His Holy Spirit all over the world, that people everywhere would come to know Christ
* Give us His wisdom and protection as we seek to make disciples of all nations and help people grow in Christ
THANK YOU so much for your prayers. Your prayers are like a spiritual covering over us and we appreciate you so much!
May God bless you,
Sincerely,
Min. (Dr.) Franklin D. Coleman, D.D.

Leigh,(43 yrs. old wife & mother of 2 small boys) was informed by MD Anderson she has six months to live. She has exhausted all chemo/radiation treatments in fighting her breast cancer. Her mother, Dorothy (whom you have prayed for several times), asked her where God was in all of this & she replied, no where. Your prayers are desperately needed & appreciated. We will pray for you as well. Thank you. Billie
In Tehran, the capital of Iran, thousands of Muslims have become Jesus followers over the last months. They gather illegally in house churches. This is reported by Iranian pastor Mahim M., living in exile in Germany. Iranian friends have told her that Jesus appeared to people in dreams, and in a number of cases sick people were surprisingly healed.
The new believers in Iran take courage and speak about their faith more publicly. M. estimates that in Tehran alone there are now more than 100,000 Christians. At the same time, the oppression is increasing. Muslims who confess Jesus are arrested and tortured without any reason. Some of them are missing without a trace. Joel News International.
The closing of airspace over Europe the last five days due to volcanic ash has cost millions of rands both internationally and nationally. The flower industry in the Western Cape, that generates R160 million per year and does its exports by air has been hit the hardest. Exporters expect a loss of R2.4 million for the week, but the amount increases by day because the deliveries cannot be made. Please pray for everyone who is affected by this financially. Especially those who are stranded and do not have extra finances to pay for daily needs. Pray specifically for the financial impact that it has on South Africa in this time.
Please pray for the staff and 300 slum children of Phoolwari Child Development project (CDSP). This project of our Church is working towards transforming the community by caring for their children and their families. Pray for Pastor Satya Narayan who is spiritually guiding the project and Sunandita who is leading the team to accomplish an exemplary work. India.
Pray for Gary my youngest brother needs prayer to find a job. His unemployment was abruptly cut off and because of his age and Parkinson’s, he's not finding any chance of work. Please pray for his and his wife Janice’s finances.
Please pray for George, a special friend, who was laid off his job after 28 years of service in 2008. He is about to loose his home where he solely cares for his 89 year old sickly father and young son. George fears the loss of his father. He has greatly respected and adored his father and fears the thoughts of being alone without him. He has been to court several times fighting for the rights of his young son. His love for this child has touched his heart in great ways. He says that his son has shown him what it is to truly love. George fears the litigation will ultimately reduce his son's rights. The stress of dealing with these things alone has made George feel desperation. He is about the sweetest man I know; and it breaks my heart to see him having to endure these things which is why I have been placing him on prayer lists. I know the power of prayer and what God can do for George. I was very pleased to run across your site. Please pray for George.
George is a man of very little faith. At 55, he has begun his search for God and salvation. Please pray that he will find the answers that he needs in his search for God in his life. Pray that his young son will be the first to be raised in a Christian home. Pray that he will undeniably know that God is in control of all things and that all things are possible through Him. The Lord is working through George. Pray that his testimony will strengthen us all. Thank you. C.D.
Janice: my friend desperately needs healing from a sciatic nerve pain situation in her lower left back. It's causing immense pain and doctors don't know exactly what the problem is. Pray for relief and for god's miracle healing.
On Wednesday, April 14, 2010, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit China's Qinghai province. The death toll is at almost 2, 000 with nearly 10,000 injured. Hundreds more are still missing. The area hardest hit by the earthquake was the county of Yushu. Located 13,000 feet above sea level, Yushu is beset by freezing temperatures and thin air, both of which are making rescue operations difficult. The earthquake destroyed untold numbers of homes, killed hundreds of people, injured thousands more, and set off landslides that knocked out power and phone lines. In the town of Jiegu, approximately 85% of the buildings were destroyed, including a number of schools. China is ranked number 13 on the Open Doors World Watch List 2010 for worst persecutors of Christians. Pray for shelter, clean water, nutritious food, blankets, coats, shoes, medicine and other desperately needed aid to reach earthquake survivors. Pray for rescuers to quickly locate and free those who are still alive but missing in the rubble. Pray for comfort for those who have lost homes and loved ones. Pray for the Lord to be with those who are suffering, reminding them of His presence of love.
Please pray for Helen for the next 3 weeks, I have absolutely no income and no way to change the situation. Please pray for my needs to be met, as I have done all I can do for my part. Please pray for my car situation, as well. I will need a car when I return to work in June.
Also for my grandson. Please pray for god to work a miracle in his life. He's in desperate need of one.
Please pray for the Assyrian Christians of Iraq. Please pray in particular for the nearly 500,000 refugees in Jordan, Syria and within Iraq.
Please pray specifically for a Province so they can come home and be protected as we work to help them go home and receive assistance so they can start their lives again.
Please pray in particular for the new Iraq Government that they will continue their help and for the Church worldwide to assist.

Pray for Nosu, Yinuo of China
Nosu, Yinuo of China
The Yinuo Nosu took slaves and fought against the Chinese authorities and other Nosu groups for centuries, until they were disarmed and the slave system abolished by the Communists in the early 1950s. Still today, the Yinuo Nosu remain an aggressive and fierce people. The various branches of the Nosu have a detailed legend of a great flood.
Ministry Obstacles
Intimidating mountains, rugged terrain, and cultural and linguistic barriers have prevented the Gospel from spreading to the Yinuo Nosu.
Outreach Ideas
The flood legend in their culture can be used as a springboard to introduce them to scripture.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There may be a few followers of Christ among the Yinuo people group. Pray they will fellowship together, growing in the knowledge of Christ. Pray they will be completely humble and gentle toward one another.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the material and physical needs of the Yinuo, as well as for their spiritual needs.

Pray for Baga, Nalu of Guinea-Bissau
Baga, Nalu of Guinea-Bissau
The Baga live along the coastal lagoons of southern Guinea-Bissau. They mainly grow rice in this marshy area that is flooded six months out of the year, during which time the only way to get around is by canoe. The men fish and grow cola nuts; the women grow rice. Historically, they have believed in a single god, known as Kanu, assisted by male and female spirits. The people to some extent converted to Islam in the 1950s.
Ministry Obstacles
The Baga people may have a confused worldview, a mixture of traditional religion and Islam.
Outreach Ideas
Christians need to genuinely care for the physical needs of the Baga tribe, finding ways to assist them and build bridges of friendship.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There may be a few that know and follow Jesus among the Baga people. Pray that teachers will be sent to help them become firmly established in the faith. Pray they will live upright lives, honoring Christ. Pray they will learn to live in the power of Christ's Spirit, demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit consistently.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Baga people will be given the gift of hearing clearly of Jesus. Pray that each person in the tribe will hear at least once who Jesus is, and what He has provided for them. Pray they hear it in their mother tongue, and hear it without confusion or uncertainty in the presentation.

Pray for Druze of Syria
Druze of Syria
"Druze" is a word derived from el-Drzi, the name of one of the early propagandists of the Druze religion. The religion of the Druze began in the 9th century AD, as a sect of Islam. Druze hold the Qur'an to be sacred, but look upon it as an outer shell, holding an "inner, esoteric meaning". They can be found in Israel, Lebanon, and Syria, and follow a lifestyle of isolation.
Ministry Obstacles
The Druze see Jesus as a major prophet, but not the Son of God. Also, their life of isolation makes them resistant to outside influences.
Outreach Ideas
Christian Arabs may have special rapport with the Druze. Perhaps the Lord will grant a burden for the Druze to some Middle Eastern Christian Arabs, and also to Messianic Jews in Israel.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the few believers among the Druze, that the Lord may strengthen them out of His glorious riches so that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith. Pray these believers will fellowship together, and grow as the body of Christ.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray each individual in the Druze community will soon become persuaded that Jesus is truly the Son of God, and will place their faith in His finished work on the cross. Pray for multiplying disciples among the Druze.

“There will be more power in the pulpit when there is more prayer in the pew.” Acts 4:31 This is what is very necessary for the world today. Greetings, Roberto Wijnhof
A federal judge in Wisconsin yesterday found the National Day of Prayer to be unconstitutional, saying it violates the First Amendment prohibition laws respecting an establishment of religion.
The decision was rendered in a case brought some years ago against the Bush (and subsequently Obama) administration by the 15,000-member Freedom From Religion Foundation.
The Presidential Prayer Team will also be sending information regarding the rumors that President Obama has cancelled the National Day of Prayer. The fact is - last year President Obama cancelled only the White House's involvement in the National Day of Prayer.
Pray for The Presidential Prayer Team. As the largest intercessory prayer group in the United States, we must address our eroding rights to openly pray in America. Pray specifically for wisdom and our understanding of God's timing as we formalize a plan to involve our entire membership.
Now is not the time to sit back and watch. Now is the time to pray. Now is the time to gather others to pray with you. Your Presidential Prayer Team
- Please pray that whatever is necessary will continually happen from now on for my eldest daughter and her younger sisters to become truly born again.
- Pray also that my 2nd eldest daughter will immediately get delivered of her anger problem and being physically violent whenever she is frustrated. She loves Christ but still has this anger and being violent problem when she is frustrated.
- Please also pray that all my children will greatly daily help with the large amount of dishes and housework.
The message below is from a precious friend whose husband is dying from cancer. I have asked for prayer in the past. Please pray for his easy passing and comfort for the family during this time.
The hospice nurse just left. We agree that Bruce has continued to decline this week. She said if he further declines at this rate, without the plateau that usually comes, it could be as short as one week or no longer than two weeks. He is not in pain. He sleeps mostly, except when I wake him for his medicine. Even that drains him.
April hasn't even been given the '6 weeks' news yet. I guess it is better that we only have to give her bad news once. Please pray for her. He is her dad and she loves him so much. Thanks. Tanya
Hi, my brothers and sisters asking special prayer for GODS strength and provision and for NYC things have taken a real turn for the worse here they have put naked statues in the park and on top of buildings calling it art which is a direct slap in the face of all the Christians who live here and more important a slap in the face of GOD. GOD richly bless you brother Danny
I was on OPT status of 60 days grace period. my grace period will be ending on April 25th of this year. I have only 8 more days left. My employer wanted to hire me and I was doing my work permit visa. however the Labour department denied the labour certification, and they did give us the permission to resubmit. it takes 7 days to be processed. After it get approved, I must include the cerficate onto the visa form and sent it to the government. In order to do all these, I don't think I have enough time left.
I have been getting many wrong information and the person who is working on my case does not have any clue what to do, that's why the mistake is occurring. According to the information I got from my case worker, the papers need to be in by the 25th of my opt grace period ends, if not I need to leave the country. I don't have any help, I asked for help and everybody kind of backed up and very hesitant in helping.
I don't know what God wants me to do...to go ahead and file anyways, or go back to my country, or do something else. I am getting together with the worker to fill out the visa forms..
Please pray God to guide us. I trust in the Lord that God is doing something, he is at work. I cannot see but he is doing something which is too high for me to apprehend. I absolutely understand, I need patient and trust in the Lord rather than looking into my impossible circumstances. God is a god of possibility not impossibility. please pray that God would show himself powerful on my behalf.
thank you very much for your prayers. Sincerely, Naomi.S
Please pray for a sovereign move of God to heal mrs. L. from a reoccurring, fast-growing intestinal cancer. She truly needs a big miracle to survive.
Patti needs healing from sexually abusive past. Please pray that God will prepare her heart for her husband to return from prison after 15 years. She needs a good church home and new Christian friends.

Pray for Bhisti of India
Bhisti of India
The term bihishti is derived from the Persian word bihisht, meaning paradise, and they were so named on account of the services they rendered to thirsty soldiers. They claim their ancestry from Hazrat Abbas Alamdar, who went to fetch water from a pond in a skin-bag to quench the thirst of the followers of Imam Husain on their way to Damascus. The Bihishti belong to the Sunni sect of Islam. They venerate their village deity, Khera Dev.
Ministry Obstacles
The Bhisti may well have an inadequate understanding of who Isa (Jesus) of the Koran truly is. Pray the Lord will open their eyes.
Outreach Ideas
Much prayer and many dedicated workers are needed. Stories from Scripture concerning the person and work of Christ will be helpful.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Although there are no known believers today among the Bhisti, pray the Lord will begin to call out believers. Pray they will be adequately instructed in the faith, and will grow to maturity in Christ.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Bhisti community will increasingly thirst for Living Water.

Pray for Shawiya of Algeria
Shawiya of Algeria
The Shawiya (pronounced Shah-wee-ya) is one of the numerous Berber groups in North Africa. The major feature that binds the Shawiya together is their language. Since the 8th century, they have been dominated by the Arabs, who forbade expressions of their language and culture until recent years. Life for the Shawiya is simple. They have long been mocked by their countrymen for being simpletons, yet are known for their wisdom.
Ministry Obstacles
To follow Christ in the Shawiya community carries the risk of loss of relationships, not to mention physical danger.
Outreach Ideas
Sustained and focused prayer is needed to help these people begin to hunger to know Jesus.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the followers of Christ that will soon come from the Shawiya community. Pray they will be able to fellowship together, and become firmly established on the truth of scripture.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Shawiya people will become truly wise by finding the One who is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge.

Pray for Arab, Palestinian of West Bank / Gaza
Arab, Palestinian of West Bank / Gaza
Palestinians are generally pleasant, generous and friendly. They are traditionally hospitable and prepare elaborate dinners for their guests, regardless of their economic situation. Palestinians are predominantly adherents of Sunni Islam with a minority Christian community. The Holy Land, birthplace of Jesus Christ and the land from where Christianity spread over the entire world, is also the birthplace of the Palestinian Church.
Ministry Obstacles
Turmoil in Israel and the West Bank / Gaza makes Christian witness to the Palestinians challenging, but turmoil sometimes makes people more open to change.
Outreach Ideas
Christians need to be genuinely concerned about the plight of the Palestinians, doing what they can to minister to these people. Christ died for the Palestinians, as well as for others.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Palestinian Arabs have had a strong Christian presence for generations, but today they struggle greatly. Pray for the believers in Christ, that they will be accepted by both Muslim Arabs and Jews. Christians in other parts of the world need to be alert to the needs of the Palestinian Christians, praying for them and doing what they can to alleviate their suffering.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the Palestinians in both Israel and the West Bank / Gaza to increasingly experience peace, with political stability, and improving economic conditions.

Prayer Request Persian of Iran
Persian of Iran
Persian identity, at least in terms of language, is traced to the ancient Indo-European Aryans who arrived circa 2000-1500 BC. The first known written record is from an Assyrian inscription of 834 BC. Starting around 550 BC, from the province of Fars, the ancient Persians spread their language and culture to other parts of the Iranian plateau through conquest and assimilation. Looking to link the modern state with the imperialist past, the Reza Shah government switched the country name from Persia to Iran in 1935. The synonymous usage of Iranian and Persian persists today.
Ministry Obstacles
The Iranian government strictly controls any kind of Christian evangelistic ministry within the country.
Outreach Ideas
Satellite television, radio, and the internet all provide good means of communicating across geopolitical borders.
Pray for the followers of Christ
The Lord is calling many Persians to Himself in these days. Pray these new believers will grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and will know this love that surpases knowledge.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the people of Iran to have access to the good news about Jesus. Pray also for peace between Iran and its neighbors.
Scripture Focus

Testimony: Peace and security has always been a problem in the predominantly Muslim island of Mindanao in southern Philippines. Rebel groups assert their rights through violent means. But now, former Muslim rebels are veering away from violence as they discover Jesus and experience his peace and miracles. Ordinarily, Muslims are only seen worshipping inside a mosque. But in a Christian church in southern Philippines, Muslims and Christians are worshipping together. A Muslim tribal group is worshipping with their indigenous instruments, leaders of different Muslim rebel groups are praying and listening to the Word of God, and a Muslim lady is giving her testimony on how God healed her blindness. In the place where rebellion, kidnappings and violence are rampant, the Christian churches are aggressive in establishing solidarity among the Muslims and interfaith groups to usher in peace in the land.
Please be in prayer today for the brother of my very good friend, Irene. His name is Raymond, and he is in the hospital with a life-threatening problem concerning one of his feet. Unless God works a miracle, he could lose the foot, or his life. Thank you so very much for interceding for Raymond and his family today. Blessings to All, Helen
Hi, my brothers and sisters, asking special prayer for GODS strength and provision this week and for prayer to battle depression I am a little embarrassed to mention it but it seems to be getting a little more frequent and I sense it can be a little dangerous. GOD richly bless you, brother Danny
IRAN: Maryam and Marzieh in court this week
Thank you for your ongoing prayers for Maryam and Marzieh, the Christians standing trial for apostasy in the Iranian courts. This week their court case has resumed, so please continue to pray for them as they await the outcome of the trial.
Please pray for pastor Bert G. from The Netherlands who is travelling to India next Monday. That his flight will go anyway. Because of the problems in Europe with the volcano in Iceland. Pray for Gods blessing over him and his family while he is there.
Please help me to pray for healing, i have been sick for 15yrs, please help me as many of my friends dream of death and things like that, I don’t want to die. Thanks Christian.
Marriage and the family are society’s most fundamental and enduring institutions. For thousands of years of human history, marriage has been the cornerstone institution of every civilization. When marriage and the family are neglected, the results are catastrophic for society. Almost every social ill can be traced back to the breakdown of marriage and the family. Your community is only as strong as the family. It is impossible to build a strong, viable and healthy society when marriages and families are disintegrating. Pray for married couples in your community. If you are married, pray for your spouse. Pray the Word of God over your own marriage as well as those in your community according to Eph 5:22- 33. Ask God’s blessing on the work of ministries that are specifically focused on families and marriage, e.g. Focus on the Family.
A song. There She Stands - Michael W. Smith
Dear Lord Jesus, I love You, but I know and believe that You love me more. Thank You for this song. You are my flag. Just when I think it might be over, just when I think the fight is gone, someone risks His life to raise her.. And now I know that someone is You. Pray for my brother.
This week we pray for trials in Iran and Turkey, arising from anti-Christian legislation and nationalism respectively. Violent attacks continue in Nigeria, and we step up petitioning for religious freedom in the run-up to the general election.
TURKEY: Murderers of Christian book publishers brought to trial
In April 2007, three Christian publishing house workers in Malatya were brutally murdered by young Turkish nationalists. Sadly, the ensuing public focus was on the men’s Christian activities as opposed to the murderers’ crimes.
Highlighted in CSW’s 2008 apostasy report, Turkey often ostracises Christians in a climate of religious nationalism. To be Muslim is considered a central feature of Turkish national identity, and the consequences for Christians are sometimes grave, as in Malatya.
At the start of the trial, CSW’s National Director Stuart Windsor said, “This case is seen as a landmark to assess Turkey’s commitment to religious tolerance.”
As the three-year case resumes this week, please pray for peace to rest on the Christian community, and for love, grace and justice to be evident in court.
The final Mighty Men Conference takes place at Shalom Farm, KwaZulu-Natal from 16-18 April 2010. At the conference they will be praying for South Africa amongst other prayer requests. They invite believers in South Africa to join with them in prayer from 19:00 to 21:00 on April 16. Please pray for the protection of everyone that will travel to the farm to attend the conference. Pray for the protection against accidents, sickness, etc. Ask the Lord to bless the activities and that every man will encounter God in a special way.
Nigerian violence carries on near Jos
Sporadic attacks against Christians continued this week in Plateau State, with cars and houses set alight and injuries sustained. This follows the killings of hundreds of people in Jos South earlier this year. CSW has been praying for peace for Plateau State since 2001- please persevere in prayer for reconciliation and justice.
Please pray as the team prepares to assist with the terrible 7.1 Magnitude earthquake that hit Qinghai Province.
Please pray for the nearly 500,000 Assyrian Christian refugees from Iraq and efforts to assist them. Ken Joseph Jr. Japan.
Protestant Churches (Turkey) ask you to join the small congregations of Turkey along with many churches worldwide to give 2-3 minutes to prayer for Turkey in your churches on Sunday April 18, 2010. To pray that the church in Turkey is anointed and strengthened in the Holy Spirit to live for the glory of God; pray that the outcome of this will bring hope and blessing to the land and people of Turkey as hearts and eyes are opened to Jesus Christ and to the Kingdom of God. In this brief time of prayer you will be joining millions all over the world. Pray that God will place His word upon the lips of believers as we pray for Turkey. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to believers and that prophetic utterances will be released over that land. Pray that the gates will be lifted up and opened, for the King of Glory to enter in (Ps.24:7-10).
Please pray for my court case of forgery with my bros sanjiv, who cheated me and sold all my assets. The court date is 20 April, may God bless me with justice, favor and victory in this case and unite all my bros and sis together and save them. Lord is doing miracles and wonders in this case.
Please pray for my daughter Sonali studies as she has her exams from 20 April to 23 April. Please pray for our finances also, thanks and may god bless u all. Mala

Pray for Azerbaijani, North of Azerbaijan
Azerbaijani, North of Azerbaijan
The homeland of the Azeris was first conquered by the Persians in the sixth century B.C. Islam was introduced into the area during the seventh century. Azerbaijani settlements were traditionally divided into villages made up of extended families. In an attempt to protect their culture, marriage within the family was encouraged, often between cousins. Religious practices are less restrictive of women's activities than in some Muslim countries. Many women have jobs outside the home.
Ministry Obstacles
The Azeris have centuries of historical commitment to Islam, not easily changed.
Outreach Ideas
Georgian Christians may be able to carry the gospel message to the Azeris. Gospel radio may also be helpful.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the followers of Jesus among the Azeri, that they will faithfully fellowship together, be well-taught in the Scriptures, and grow to become mature in the Lord. Pray they will be made new in the attitude of their minds.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray that the Azeris will increasingly be drawn to Isa (Jesus) as they study the Koran, that they will desire to know more about this Man.

Bob and Sue have been very close friends and fellow workers for over thirty almost forty years!

Where It All Begins
Out of the womb of prayer, praise and worship all the mighty movements of God in the earth are conceived and brought to birth for the glory of God and the good of mankind.
A Declaration of Unity
I belong to everything that belongs to Jesus and everything that belongs to Jesus belongs to me! It's not us and them. It's just us! There's only one Body of Christ, and the problems of the church, the whole church, are our problems, for we are the church and we can do more united than we can do divided! So let's unify, simplify, and multiply!
Divine Appointment Prayer
Father, give me a divine appointment today with someone who is hungry for God, or sick, or in need, and give me grace to minister the love of Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Winning the War on Terror by Prayer
Father, give every terrorist an encounter with Jesus such as Paul had on the road to Damascus.
Living to Give
Father, make me a generous giver today! Show me where to give and what to give, and let all my giving bring glory to the name of Jesus.
Grace, YES! Law, NO!
Law demands, demands, demands
But gives me neither feet nor hands Grace and Truth are better things
They bid me fly and give me wings!

Pray for Guhjali, Wakhi of Tajikistan
Guhjali, Wakhi of Tajikistan
The Wakhi live on both sides of China's remote border with Pakistan. Other Wakhi are located in Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Marco Polo described the area when he passed through more than 700 years ago: "...No birds fly here because of the height and the cold. ... The inhabitants live very high up in the mountains. They are idolaters and utter savages, living entirely by the chase and dressed in the skins of beasts." Although the Wakhi have been Shi'a Muslims for centuries, they have retained many animistic rituals.
Ministry Obstacles
The Wakhi probably have much misinformation about what it means to know and follow Christ. Pray for enlightened thinking.
Outreach Ideas
Sustained, focused prayer is needed for the Wakhi. Pray the Lord will soften the ground for future missionaries.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Although there are no known Christian believers among the Wakhi, pray for those that will one day emerge. Pray the Lord is even now preparing pastors and teachers for them. Pray for the scriptures to be made available to them.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for this remote people group, that they will be able to find their way in the 21st century. Pray they make the necessary adjustments to a rapidly changing world.

Lessons We Can Learn From Jesus' Spiritual Warfare Prayer
Lessons We Can Learn From Jesus'
Spiritual Warfare Prayer
by Eddie Smith
Then the Lord (Jesus) said, "Simon, Simon, listen! Satan has demanded to have you apostles for himself. He wants to separate you from me as a farmer separates wheat from husks. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. So when you recover, strengthen the other disciples." (Luke 22:31-32, GW).
Almost 2,000 years after Jesus spoke these words to Simon Peter, Christians continue to debate the validity of spiritual warfare prayer.
However, I suspect that those who argue against spiritual warfare prayer argue less with Scripture and more with some of our models and methods. They would say, "Perhaps spiritual warfare prayer is valid, but what that group is doing can't possibly be it!" In some cases, they may be correct. There are some things about these two verses that I find particularly interesting.
First, notice that Jesus is so in touch with heaven (because of His own intimate prayer life) that He knew what Satan had demanded of the Father. Remember, Jesus was completely dependent upon the Father (John 5:19). Without his daily "military intelligence report" from heaven, Jesus was helpless. He could do nothing. So, true spiritual warfare prayer, whatever it is, is absolutely heaven-dependent. What Satan is doing today is not nearly as important as what God is doing, when it comes to spiritual warfare!
Second, look at what Satan really wanted. We know Satan's job description is "to steal, to kill, and to destroy" (John 10:10). Jesus said that Satan wanted to sift Peter (and the other disciples) like a farmer separates the wheat from the husks. But look what Satan was actually after. He wanted to separate the Apostles from Jesus! His war strategy was to "divide and conquer."
Third, Jesus said, "But I have prayed for you." No doubt Peter breathed a big sigh of relief at this point. He must have thought, thank God! For a minute there it sounded like I was going to be sifted, whatever that means. But Peter's relief was short lived, for Jesus continued, "I have prayed that your faith won't fail during the sifting." What do you mean, "During the sifting!?" Why didn't you pray that I wouldn't be sifted?
Again, Christ wasn't praying according to Satan's agenda.
His praying was based on God's agenda. And at the time, God was developing Apostles. And Apostles, like you and me, are forged in the fiery furnace of affliction. At times, God will even allow the enemy to do things in our lives, in order to accomplish His purposes.
Old Testament saints prayed to be delivered from their circumstances. New Testament saints pray to be developed by their circumstances.
Finally, you will see that Jesus had no doubt about Peter's ultimate victory. Why would He? After all, He had prayed in faith for Peter's faith not to fail. So, he confidently says, "So when (not if) you recover, strengthen the other disciples!"
A happily married woman with two children lost both of them. They were buried in the same grave. After that, she suffered a deep emotional collapse. For years her family fed and cared for her as though she was as weak and helpless as a little child.
One day her aunt, a joyful Christian, took her turn at feeding her. The distraught and despondent woman said, "Auntie, you keep on saying that God loves us. I used to think so too; but if He loves us, why did He make me as I am?"
The aunt kissed her gently, said with the wisdom of years, "Dear, He hasn't made you yet. He's making you now!"
"When through fiery trials thy pathway shall lie, My grace, all-sufficient, shall be thy supply; The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design Thy dross to consume and thy gold to refine.”

Prayer Request for Bosniak of Bosnia-Herzegovina
Bosniak of Bosnia-Herzegovina
Bosniaks are typically characterized by their tie to the Bosnian historical region, traditional adherence to Islam, and common culture and language. Once spread throughout the regions they inhabited, various instances of ethnic cleansing and genocide have had a tremendous effect on the territorial distribution of their population. Partially due to this, a notable Bosniak Diaspora exists in a number of countries.
Ministry Obstacles
The Bosniaks have experienced much harm over many years from those who have called themselves Christians. This isn't easy to overcome.
Outreach Ideas
Christians need to build friendships with the Bosniaks, serving their physical and material needs as that is possible.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There are a few followers of Christ among the Bosniaks. Pray they will be bold in their witness for Christ, yet loving and tactful. Pray they will live holy lives, zealous to know and serve Jesus Christ.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray that the Bosniaks will hunger to find out more about the man Isa (Jesus), referred to in the Koran. Pray the Lord will open their eyes to His true nature, and will draw many Bosniaks to Himself.

GPN 04-13-2010
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Phil. 4:6-7 Sorry there are not so many prayer requests, but we had some problems with our Email provider. Friday we will send out some more. Greetings Roberto Wijnhof
Urgent prayer alert: Iranian Christians in court this Tuesday
We are requesting renewed prayer for Maryam Rostampour and Marzieh Amirizadeh Esmaeilabad, the two Iranian Christians who were imprisoned for their faith for 259 days in 2009. Since their conditional release in November 2009, Maryam, 27, and Marzieh, 30, have been recovering from illness. They have now been ordered to appear in court on Tuesday, 13 April. However, despite their weak condition, both women remain determined to stand by their faith.
As Maryam and Marzieh prepare to appear in court once again, please pray...
- For their mental and physical strength during the proceedings.
- That they will know the presence of God in the midst of their trial.
- For their loved ones not to be anxious.
- For their unconditional release and full recovery to health.
Thanks for your help to our ministry in CNVS for which we are grateful.
We have some bad news; From 1984 I had a good relation with some man whom I trusted to inform the churches and brethrens about the work and to collect gifts given to the ministry. I have discovered the following: He has deceived me on $20,000.00 He told gift givers that the money will be used to help CNVS and A. in Morocco but he has not done this. He was for 1 year in Morocco misusing the Lord's money. Bought a 4x4 and never even visited me while he was 900 Km away.
From now on brethren, I cannot trust this man because he has left us bankrupt. I am a worker now with no funding, and literature that we cannot send. Our monthly expenses are $3,500. Please pray for this situation. Abú
Please pray that today and everyday from now on New permanent leaflet distribution clients that will immediately get myself to continually weekly put out flyers for them will contact us today.

Many of our clients will get saved and some become members of our church.
Every week all our leaflet clients will pay their bills immediately they are emailed to them

Millions to Gather to Pray for Nation
There will be approximately 30,000 prayer events across the U.S. for the National Day of Prayer (NDP) on May 6.
The day is designated by Congress as a time for people to come together and pray. It became an official holiday in 1952. President Ronald Reagan fixed it on the first Thursday in May.
This year's theme is "Prayer, For Such a Time as This."
John B., executive director of the NDP Task Force, said the day kicks off with a national observance in the nation's capital.
"It's a great way to see that, yes, there is prayer happening in Washington, D.C.," he said. "There are leaders that have great respect for the God of the Bible."
He said 33 of the 44 U.S. presidents have set an example by calling for a day of prayer.
"We've found well over 800 proclamations calling for prayer from the state level to the federal level," he said.

Pray for Ersu of China
Ersu of China
The Ersu believe they will be reincarnated when they die and will come back to the earth as a person in a higher social position if they have lived a virtuous life. They will come back as an animal if they lived a wicked life. This belief results in the Ersu having little motivation to help the afflicted among them, as suffering is considered the consequence of a person's bad karma. The Ersu are officially part of the Tibetan nationality.
Ministry Obstacles
The Ersu may fear disturbing community harmony if they become followers of Christ.
Outreach Ideas
Christian workers need to build good relationships with the Ersu community, earning the right to share the Good News about Christ.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There may be no followers of Christ among the Ersu at present, but pray for those that will soon emerge. Pray they will be zealous to know and serve the Lord, and will be properly instructed in the faith.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Ersu community will increasingly become aware of their need for a savior, and that many will be given faith to believe in Jesus and His finished work on the cross.

Pray for Mongol of China
Mongol of China
In the thirteenth century, Genghis Khan formed one of the greatest world empires by uniting the Mongol tribes. In the centuries that followed, the once mighty Mongol empire was squeezed between the growing Russian and Chinese empires. One-third of all the Mongols lived in what later became known as the Mongolian People's Republic. The remaining two-thirds lived in the Inner Mongolian region of China.
Ministry Obstacles
The Mongolians live in an area that is somewhat difficult for outsiders to access.
Outreach Ideas
Pray the emerging church among the Mongols will become mature enough and large enough to effectively take the Gospel message to all of their own people.
Pray for the followers of Christ
The Lord is building His church among the Mongols. Pray these early believers will become firmly grounded in the faith, fully trusting Christ for salvation and for power to live this life.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Mongolian people may be able to improve their standard of living, being able to provide good schools for their children and employment opportunities for the breadwinners.

“Salvation is more than re-formation; it is a transformation.” Roman 12:2
I wish you a fine weekend with a lot of transformation. Roberto Wijnhof
On a daily basis we hear bad news. It can be the death of a loved one. Or the diagnosis of a incurable disease and a limited period of time to be alive. A stillborn baby. Losing your eyesight or a limb. A child that is rebellious and overcome with addictions. It is easy to be overcome by these circumstances. Pray for those who mourn in your community. Pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort them. Pray for the acceptance of the good news of the gospel according to Isaiah 61:1-3. Pray that their hearts will be steadfast, trusting in the Lord. (Ps.112:7-8).
I give glory to the Lord Almighty for your prayer for my mother in-law Jamima, she is receiving rapid healing from her heart problem. Pastor H. Y
The murder of Eugene Terre’blanche, the leader of the AWB (Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging), by two youths last week has caused quite a stir in this nation. The murder coincidently followed after a political leader sang a song that is regarded as hate speech. The president has addressed the nation and asked that everyone should remain calm during this time. Members of the AWB stated that they will not retaliate or take revenge. Pray that this incident will lead to a time of renewed reconciliation amongst different culture groups in South Africa. Ask God to renew the hearts of the citizens of this nation (Ez.36:26). Ask God to reveal His plan for the nation to the Body of Christ. Pray that the Church will arise and provide counsel to the nation through prophecy.
Hi my brothers and sisters asking special prayer for GODS strength and provision and also special protection as there seems to be so much more warfare on the streets these days. GOD richly bless you brother Danny.
Dwayne R is a Christian friend of mine who was set up to be robbed by two co-worker acquaintances of his. Dwayne went to their house after being invited to “hangout.” One of the men set his pit bull dog to attack Dwayne so the other man could then rob him. Dwayne had a gun in his backpack that he carried and he got the gun and shot in self defence, both men were wounded and one of them died months later from complications. The state of AZ went after Dwayne even though the man with the pit bull had a long lengthy criminal record and had caused Wayne bodily harm by the dog attack – it bit his face and other areas badly. Dwayne is being told by his lawyers that if he goes to trial he will get 25 yrs to life, if he takes a plea bargain and a guilty plea this week he will get 7 yrs with 4 yrs probation after he gets out. He is a Godly man who loves the Lord and who does not want to say he was guilty when he wasn’t. Please pray for Dwayne and this situation, God tells us that no weapon formed against us will prosper, and that any tongue raised against us You will condemn, that is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. Isaiah 54:17 Thanks on behalf of Dwayne. Blessings, Linda Rollins, Arizona, USA.
Pls pray for Ms. Julie B. for her lingering illness. Harvest Time Philippines.
A quick message to update you on Ferol and Mickey--don't know what you may have gotten information about. We've been out of town and didn't get much information until yesterday. They went to Houston about two weeks ago, expecting for Mickey to have heart surgery to repair a bad valve. After getting there, she had another heart attack, and now the plan is to put in a pacemaker today. Her heart is too weak for surgery. Ferol had breathing problems yesterday and finally went to the emergency room there in Houston, where they found his oxygen level to be 80, which is what it was when he passed out in Clayton, so they admitted him to the hospital last night to treat that problem. If all goes well, they may get to go home Thursday. I'll send more information as I get it. Coby and Kelly are in Houston now, Kelley has been there the whole time.

I greet you in the name of Jesus. I too need your prayer as well because in May i will go to American Embassy to ask for a Visa to travel to U.S.A. God bless you so much, Rev. John Bahebwa.
Tarving city like this is dreadfully common. "For the parents, seeing their children must be doomed to poverty, think it better at once to let the soul escape in search of a more happy asylum than to linger in one condemned to want and wretchedness." The infanticide is, however, exclusively confined to the destruction of female children, the sons being permitted to live in order to continue the ancestral sacrifices. One mother
I met, who was employed by the mission, told the missionary in ordinary conversation that she had suffocated in turn three of her female children within a few days of birth; and, when a fourth was born, so enraged was her husband to discover that it was also a girl that he seized it by the legs and struck it against the wall and killed it. Dead children, and often living infants, are thrown out on the common among the grave mounds, and may be seen there any morning being gnawed by dogs. Mr. Tremberth of the Bible
Christian Mission, leaving by the south gate early one morning, disturbed a dog eating a still living child that had been thrown over the wall during the night. Its little arm was crunched and stripped of flesh, and it was whining inarticulately--it died almost immediately. Please pray for this what is happening in this horrible story.
Religious Liberty Partnership: Cyprus statement on Nigeria
CSW’s Chief Executive, Mervyn Thomas, chairs the Religious Liberty Partnership (RLP), a group of over twenty NGOs, amplifying the voice of persecuted Christians internationally. A recent RLP statement details a range of advocacy efforts on Nigeria, and calls for the worldwide Christian community to pray for the crisis in Northern and central Nigeria.
Hope resurrected
- Alongside Jesus’ resurrection hope at Easter last week, we joyfully celebrated the news that Gao Zhisheng is alive! This week after Gao’s further conversations with family and Bob Fu, founder of US-based NGO, ChinaAid, our hopes and prayers are strengthened for his full return to normal life.
- Alimujiang Yimiti is another of our cases for concern. He was sentenced to fifteen years’ imprisonment in his native Xinjiang province for “providing state secrets to overseas organisations” – a charge ruled “arbitrary” by the UN and vigorously campaigned on by CSW staff. Please pray for him.
I am desperately in need of need of a computer for Lord's ministry and a projector for the work of evangelism. I need your earnest prayers for God to provide for His ministry. Pastor Haruna Y.
