GPN 04-16-2013

‘When Christ comes to us, He brings peace and love and points to the best use of life.’ (Galatians 5:22-30)
Let us this week be on the best place: at His feet. God will surely bless you. GPN, Marga Hooglugt
URGENT: A baby boy was born early this Sunday morning, and they have transferred him to a pediatric hospital. They told his parents that he has a tear in his lungs. His name is Jayce Garcia. His parents ask your prayers. Ms. Emily
Please pray for a miracle of healing from cancer for Mrs. J.B. Due to the effects of her chemotherapy, her body is weakened. She now receives a heavier chemo. She relies on the Lord for her healing.
Syria: Blessings in Worsening Situation. A partner was forced to abbreviate the Good Friday service and canceled the Easter celebrations due to fighting in the region. A mortar exploded on Good Friday in the front of the building where this contact lives, and killed one woman and destroyed around $10,000 in literature in the apartment housing a small bookstore. The partner wrote, ‘We are still here, thankful for the protection of our Lord. We had the blessed chance to distribute food packages to 60 families.’ Pray for this contact, he still has three active Bible classes in his region. VOM Contact
Please pray for N.M. He’s been involved in satanic activities. He wants to come to God. We used to be good friends. Pray that God will restore the friendship, so I can help him. Ms. M.A.
Nigeria: Islamists killed 10 members of one family on February 21st in an evening attack near Jos. About 40 armed militants entered the home of the Musa family. Two family members in their 20s, Habila Musa, and Regina, the wife of Jacob Musa, were the only survivors of the attack. Regina is deeply traumatized; the militants killed not only her husband, but also her three children, ages 9 months, 3 years and 5 years old. Pray for God’s protection, strength and emotional healing for the Christians. VOM Contact
Mrs. J. wanted to invest her bank balance in a house that she bought. Now the broker is bankrupt, causing major financial problems. Pray the Lord for outcome.
Azerbaijan: The leaders of two small Baptist churches in Azerbaijan have been fined for holding worship services and threatened with tougher penalties if they do not stop. The fines amount to more than a year’s salary for a laborer. Zaur Balayev has currently the care of his wife, who is ill with cancer. The fine for Hamid Shabanov was issued to his wife, Hinayat, in his place, since Hamid was out of the country. Hamid has also spent time in prison. Pray for God’s healing, protection and provisionVOM Contact
Pray for total healing of breast cancer for Ms. M.I. Thank the Lord that the tumor is removed and pray that she may recover soon. Mrs. M.H.
IMPORTANT: South America: Please pray that God will use Evangelist John T.L. Maasbach, and will bless the upcoming crusades. Pray also for the students and teachers of the Harvest Time Bible Schools, currently in progress in Brazil. Pray that God will send workers to win souls for His Kingdom.
Pakistan: Prayer works! A court has acquitted a Christian, which was imposed the death penalty for blasphemy in 2007. In 2005, the 42-year-old Younis Mash was accused by an imam of insulting the prophet Muhammad. The incident led to violence. At a hearing his lawyer presented the evidence on which the conviction was based. This rested on rumors and flawed evidence and led to the acquittal last week. Pray for him, because he spent more than seven years in prison. Open Doors
