Urgent Prayer Request for Peter

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST FOR PETER September 21st, 2016

Dear Praying Friends:

 

This past Friday Peter was admitted back into the Heart Hospital in a very weakened condition. After several days of extensive testing, the general consensus of his many excellent doctors is that Peter has become severely dehydrated from the ongoing treatment to control his fluid retention. The treatment is very much a balancing act and the dilemma is that he is now both dehydrated and fluid overloaded at the same time. His vascular system is dehydrated and yet his organs are retaining huge amounts of fluid. This has thrown his electrolytes and kidney function out of whack and has caused Peter to struggle immensely.  

To further complicate the matter, the treatments for either problem cause the other issue to escalate further. As such, it has been a significant struggle to provide Peter the right medical treatment to help him through this difficult challenge. Thankfully, at this time, Peter is not in any pain and is resting comfortably. They did install a nasal feeding tube to help supplement his nutrition since his appetite as been virtually non-existent. 

Additionally, the hematologist is doing some new blood testing to rule out any possible underlying issues not previously known,

We are asking for your prayers at this time, perhaps more than ever. Peter is facing his most significant challenge he has had to date. He is at a turning point and we are asking you to stand with us and lift him up in prayer for his healing. 

Peter and and many of his close friends and family believe God still had some assignments for him to complete. 

Prayer Points:

1. That Peter's body will come into proper fluid balance and be healed. Ask that the excess fluid be expelled. He has gained over 20lbs in the last week!

2. That his strength and vitality will increase.

3. That his kidneys will function properly and process fluid normally.

3. That the doctors will know exactly how best to treat him and that the treatments will be successful and rapid. 

4. That peace will rest upon him and our family.
