Mongol, Sichuan in China

Mongol, Sichuan in China
Sichuan Mongols live in Sichuan Province, spread out along two or three valleys in Yanyuan and Muli counties, northeast of Lugu Lake. Most are farmers or fishermen, leading quiet lives in their remote villages. Very few Sichuan Mongols have ever heard the name of Jesus Christ.
Ministry Obstacles
The Sichuan Mongols are surrounded by unreached people groups on every side; therefore, there are no Christian communities nearby who could reach them. Gospel radio broadcasts in Mandarin have had little effect because few understand Chinese.
Outreach Ideas
Han Chinese believers may be led by the Spirit of Christ to share Jesus with these Mongol people. Pray this will occur, and pray they are faithful to be obedient in this matter.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the few Sichuan Mongols who know and follow Jesus Christ. Pray they will be sent teachers to help them become established in the faith and grow. Pray they will find each other in order to fellowship. Pray they will be zealous to follow Christ.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the Mongols of Sichuan to have the opportunity to hear accurately of who Jesus is, and what He has accomplished. Pray they hear in their mother tongue, and hear more than once. It usually requires several exposures to adequately understand the Gospel message.
Scripture Focus
"All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats." Matthew 25:32
