Gond unspecified in India
Though Gonds are listed as tribals today, they
consider themselves as a higher race. They were the native rulers once.
They believe that evil spirits are the causes of sicknesses. Sacrifices
are believed to be powerful to keep away these evil spirits. A sacrifice
will be followed by a social dinner. The sacrificial goat has to give
permission for the sacrifice by nodding its head! The people will wait

More workers are needed to carry the Gospel to the Gond.
Outreach Ideas
Pray the believers among the Gond community will grow in numbers and in maturity such that they can take the Gospel effectively to all of their community. The sacrificial goat is a symbol of Christ's sacrificial death, a redemptive analogy.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the Christian believers among the Gond, that they will live righteous lives, growing in the fullness of the Lord's Spirit, being a faithful testimony to his goodness.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Gond will provide good schooling for their children, and be able to provide adequately for their families.
