Tibetan, Jone in China Jone county in Gansu province is the home of most of these people, and they have their own language and ethnic identity. Their name is sometimes spelled "Choni". The existence of these people has not been well-known. Jone was the site of an independent kingdom until 1928, when a Chinese general confiscated the land of the Jone prince.
