Samaritan’s Purse receives funding to help the most vulnerable in refugee crisis

UK-based
charity Samaritan’s Purse is to receive part of a £30m (UK pounds) aid
package announced by International Development Secretary Justine
Greening, which will be used to provide much needed items to keep people
clean, safe and warm on their journey.

“We’ll
be providing them with a combination of warm transit shelters; hot
showers; clean and hot water; backpacks with blankets, raincoats, food
and hygiene items; menstrual hygiene kits; and a small number of
pre-paid debit cards for 360,000 refugees transiting through Greece and
Croatia over the winter months.”
