“The center of Gods will is the safest place on earth.” Luke 22:42; Eph. 5:8

Make sure you are in God’s will and stay there. Greetings, Roberto Wijnhof

Nigeria: kidnappings of citizens – especially Christians

Sudan: police aid Muslim’s effort to take over church plot

Eritrean officials arrest eleven Christians

Please pray for your brothers and sisters in these countries.

In a first meeting with the UN Office in Baghdad, the Assyrian Christian delegates were greeted with `this is a Moslem country - your people should leave`.

When the delegation informed the UN Officials that in fact they were the original people of the country, they were ushered out the door.

In addition to assistance, the Assyrian Christians are united in seeking implementation of a promise from the Iraqi Government, guaranteed under the Iraqi Constitution for an area of their own in their homeland in Northern Iraq - the Assyrian Province. Please pray for your brothers and sisters in Iraq.

Please pray for my marriage: I feel my husband is going to ask me for a divorce when he returns from deployment. My husband has been deployed for over a year. He has become cold, non-communicative and non-responsive. I haven't heard from him in weeks. Please pray the Lord would give my husband a very deep love for me and to show that love to me, that he will begin communicating with me again, to be the loving man that I married again, for our marriage to be strong, successful, loving, vibrant and happy. I love my husband with all my heart. I don't know if he is having an affair or has just lost love for me; but I desperately want to not only have our marriage work, but for it to be a success that will give God glory.

Thank you for praying with me; I desperately need God's miraculous and speedy help. My husband was planning to come home on leave for Christmas, but now he acts like he doesn't care to come home at all. Please pray boldly and full of faith. Mrs. K.

Approximately 500 babies have been dumped by their mothers in the Mother City so far this year, but most of them have survived. A recent survey by Child Welfare found that it is mostly young mothers who abandon their babies. There are five reasons which could possibly be the main causes for babies being dumped: Teen pregnancies, drugs, rape, poverty and women expecting foreigners' babies. Pray for young ladies that are pregnant; pray that God will provide a way for them to preserve life e.g. adoption, child care homes etc. Pray for mothers who have abandoned their children and suffer from condemnation and guilt. Ask God to reveal Himself as the Merciful One to them and that they will find grace and peace in His presence.

Dear friends in Christ, I like to ask you for prayer for my old parents: Anne- Metta (nearly 90y.) and Heinrich (92y.)- divorced. They both need salvation and physical healing : Metta of blood pressure, heart, eyes(inflammation), shoulders, hands and a cold and Heinrich of brain (after a 2nd stroke recently.) Dorothy

Last week I had a speaking engagement in Wisconsin and it went really well. All of the prophecies was directional. I am being invited back. This week, I was invited over to pray over a lady that was told she was going to die in a few months by the doctors and she was totally healed after we prayed over her. Also, she was giving directional prophecies in a few minutes and we were able to led ten of her family members to the Lord on the spot. All received directional prophecies. We are being invited back Saturday to meet the rest of the family. My goal is a house church and the multiplied number of new cell house churches. My goal is actually disciples and not churches. That is where the multiplication is going to be.

In the Richmond TX area I now officially have led eighteen people to the Lord here by going store to store and need wisdom to follow them up. Also, in the Pasadena area, I have seen 45 people come to the Lord and this is going to become two different groups.

I am in the need of pray. One man is raising me the support to return to the nation of Peru. I was told that all of the prophecies that I gave ten years ago came to pass. That means that I do not have to sneak in the back door at midnight on a full moon. Praise God. Thanks for praying. And where people are praying, God shows up and there is a crowd. P. Michael Bailey

Uzbekistan: massive fine for having a film of Jesus’ life. Please pray for the freedom for the Christians in Uzbekistan.

Honourable Minister of Social Development, Ms Bomo Edna Molewa will be opening the Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Africa Conference on 31 October at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. The conference hopes to highlight that, despite the outward appearance of society polarised between rich and poor, employed and unemployed, there are many people and organisations trying to address the plight of the most vulnerable amongst us. There is nothing like a loving family to engender belonging and a thriving community to give identity. Without these structures as a foundation, many children will find growing up in today’s world even more challenging as they realise their lack of capacity to meet these challenges, incapable of reaching their full potential and increasing their risk to further impoverishment and ill health. Please pray that this conference will inspire people to reach out to the vulnerable. Pray for strategies on how to provide good family life for vulnerable children. Pray that more families will take children into their own homes and provide the stability of family life that so many children need.

To be focussed in prayer with great intensity and expectation

Burma to stop media cover of national elections.

Burma’s ethnic Christians fear bleak future after election. With Burma’s first election in over 20 years just three weeks away, Christians in ethnic minority states fear that afterward the military regime will try to “cleanse” the areas of Christianity, sources said.

LESOTHO: The Basotho are dying of AIDS before missionaries can reach them

The AIDS rate in the small, landlocked country of Lesotho is officially estimated at 25 percent, but the Dials believe it to be closer to 60 percent. This International Mission Board missionary couple has visited villages in which every person carries the virus.

“We cannot get to them fast enough to give them the Good News about Jesus before they die,” explained Alan Dial.

Physically, the Basotho are steeped in disease. Not only do many carry the HIV virus, but the Dials say that almost all of them are infected with some degree of tuberculosis or other chronic pulmonary diseases. These illnesses are unintentionally welcomed by Basotho who build fires in their huts that release oily fumes. It seems that everyone in the country is riddled with at least one form of infirmity.

The Basotho are no healthier spiritually. As a result of surrounding themselves with witchcraft, the people have experienced demonic harassment in various ways. The Dials mentioned one girl who burst into terrorizing screams during a showing of the “JESUS” film. Her body was paralysed in the crucifixion position until the Dials prayed over her and she went limp.

As Nineveh would have perished without Jonah, so the Basotho will perish without someone sharing the Good News. They are in fact already perishing—and all too soon. Even those that do believe in the message of Christ are dying out before the Truth can be spread. Missionaries are desperately needed to tell them about life in Christ before more precious lives are lost without the Gospel.

- Please pray that the Lord would bring servants to the suffering country of Lesotho.

- Pray that He would open the hearts of the inflicted Basotho and would transform their seemingly hopeless community into one of vibrant faith and love.

- Pray that someone would pick up the legacy the Dials have left.

Hi my brothers and sisters I have asked for prayer many times but this request seems to be more serious. For the next 4 nights I will be riding the subway in NYC with people dressed up in the worst Halloween costumes imaginable. Please say a prayer for me to receive Gods strength and provision and protection, I would deeply appreciate it. GOD richly bless you, brother Danny.

China: church unsurprised by Lausanne incident. Multiple members of various churches in China last week were stopped by their government from leaving the country. The believers were on their way to Cape Town 2010, the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization. Many were outraged, but Tom Henry with World Serve Ministries says our Chinese brothers and sisters have a different perspective.

“The one thing I have learned about the Chinese is that they totally embrace and follow a God that’s all powerful, that’s Sovereign, that’s loving. And they yield these into His hands so that they have really learned, as Paul said, contentment in all things.” In fact, the church is hoping for God to move in the situation.

“They really have seen God take things like this that are humanly disappointing and use them to really expand the church in China.”

Pray that this would truly serve to strengthen the exploding church in China.

The Lausanne Congress has drawn to an end and the whole week was clearly marked by God’s faithfulness. The next insert is one of the many testimonies of what God did to ensure that nothing His people from gathering to seek His face for wisdom. The sophisticated computer network developed for sharing Congress content with the world was compromised for the first two days of the Congress. There were malicious attacks on the network and a virus was also brought into the centre on a mobile phone. Two cousins from Bangalore were able to solve many of these challenges due to their expertise in these areas. Give thanks to the Lord for every prayer answered during this week's Congress. Please pray for each person as they return home, to find things in order there. Pray that they will work with new vigour and that God will answer their prayers by working signs, wonders, miracles and healing through them, to the glory of His Name.

Bhutan: Christian imprisoned for showing film on Christ. A court in predominantly Buddhist Bhutan has sentenced a Christian to three years in prison for “attempting to promote civil unrest” by screening films on Christianity.
