Prayer Request GPN 09-10-2010

GPN 09-10-2010

“If we take care of our character, our reputation will take care of itself.” Prov. 22:1. Let the Love of Jesus Christ shine around our neighbourhood. Greetings Roberto Wijnhof

Pray for the healing of sister A. she has cancer and has two young foster children. Pray for her miracle of healing.

In her book, The Power of A Praying Parent, the author, Stormie O’Martian says, ‘The battle for our children’s lives is waged on our knees. When we don’t pray, it’s like sitting on the sidelines watching our children in a war zone getting shot at from every angle. Whenever you pray for your child, do it as if you are interceding for his or her life – because that’s exactly what you are doing. There is nothing like a parent, especially a father, praying for and with their children.’

Request for Prayer for a new Computer system – Intercessors Network HQ.

To be able to finalise the financial part of this project, we need to issue one last call…

In May, Wagner and a Sudanese driver were abducted after their two-vehicle convoy was stopped by eight armed men 15 miles southwest of Nyala in Sudan's Darfur region. Seven days after the kidnapping, the two Sudanese men were released unharmed and without explanation in Thur, Darfur. Wagner remained in captivity but was allowed to contact her family and SP staff. ‘We thank God that Flavia is safe and free’ commented Franklin Graham, SP president, ‘and appreciate the help of the governments of the Sudan and the United States. People around the world have been praying for her safety and her release. Today, those prayers have been answered.

Every year on September 9th, International FASD Awareness Day is observed. Proclamations are issued in countries, states, provinces, and towns all around the world. Bells are rung at 9:09 a.m. in every time zone from New Zealand to Alaska. People all around the world gather for events to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking during pregnancy and the plight of individuals and families who struggle with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). The first FASD Day was celebrated on 9/9/99. This day was chosen so that on the ninth day of the ninth month of the year, the world will remember that during the nine months of pregnancy a woman should abstain from alcohol. Pray that pregnant women will take heed to warnings that are given to them by doctors and councillors. Pray for the establishment of more support groups in towns and districts where people are prone to abuse alcohol.
