GPN 02-05-2010 Prayer List

GPN 02-05-2010

“Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself”. Prov. 14:21

That’s why I wish you a weekend filled with happiness. Roberto Wijnhof.

Testimony: Ena Zizi was participating in a prayer group at the national cathedral in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, when the structure came down on her during the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that hit the island on January 12, 2010. Miraculously, the 70-year-old Zizi survived seven days trapped under the rubble before she was rescued by international search crews this week. A person can, give or take, expect to survive 72 hours trapped without water or food. Zizi managed to hold on for twice as long. Her son said he had no doubt that his mother's faith played a role in her survival.

Praise God for our Radio Programme “Ek aur Ek Gyarah” (one and one eleven) that will be aired from today in India through the government owned FM Rainbow. It is a programme aimed at raising awareness about HIV/AIDS. It will reach 23 states of India at the same time. Pray for our Church’s involvement in raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and also for the intervention programmes and the care we provide to children who are affected and infected with HIV/AIDS. India

“Moeders in Gebed” is an organization in the Netherlands that wants to encourage the mothers, grandmothers, aunts and everyone with a passion for children, to pray for their child at the school. They have prayer pointers based on four steps: Praising God, confessing sins, thanking God and interceding for the children and the school based on relevant Scripture verses. Pray that these women will do according to the following scripture - Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children who faint from hunger at the head of every street. (Lam.2:19).

Hi, my brothers and sisters asking special prayer for God’s strength and provision just to keep going for the LORD and not quit. GOD richly bless you. Brother Danny
Showing solidarity with the Kogui Christians

CSW is delighted to report that representatives from the Kogui Christian community were invited to the British Embassy, following their detention and pressure to recant their faith. They were told that the UK was concerned about their situation, and that the Embassy had received a lot of letters about the case. Please pray that the Koguis will feel God’s strength and comfort with them, and that their case would be swiftly resolved.

With the World Soccer Cup ‘kick off’ only five months away there is an urgency within the Body of Christ to prepare the spiritual atmosphere in our nation for the reaping in of the harvest during the four weeks of this momentous event. There is no doubt that persistent, consistent faith-filled prayer for South Africa is critical if we want to experience breakthroughs. Local churches throughout the nation need to wake up to the urgent realization that they have a vital role to play in reaching out to their communities during the World Cup. Pray for church leaders that they will envision, encourage and release their congregations to be mobilized for outreach. Pray that local churches will unite as never before to work together within their cities and towns to build the Kingdom of God. Pray that the bigger and more resourced churches will reach out and help the smaller, under-resourced churches – so that people will join God’s Kingdom.

Praise God for our senior Pastor Rev. Abraham Sahu as God is using him for His Glory and he is heading the Ministry in India and outside. Pray for his faith to grow day by day and also for his family and his good health and strength. He has one son and two daughters whom God is using. Pray so that he stays strong in his Call for India and that the vision God gave him will be actualised. India

Pray that our house is not going to be closed up in gods hands that God will touch everyone who is handling this. Pray that I will have a deeper and close walk with God with revelation and knowledge and an understanding of his word. John.

The 2010 list of persecuted Christians puts North Korea in first position, Iran second and Saudi Arabia third. North Korea sees religious activity as insurrection to the socialist principle. The regime aims to eradicate Christian activities through campaigns of 150 and 100 days of aggressive searches for secret Christians to arrest, kill and torture in horrible ways. In Iran 85 Christians were arrested for their faith to distract attention from internal problems. Many Christians are monitored and threatened, causing great fear. Recognised minority Armenian and Assyrian churches reported imprisonment, physical abuse, harassment and discrimination. Church services are monitored by secret police and cell group members are aggressively questioned, beaten and put in jail. Pray that other believers around the world will continue to pray for fellow believers that are being persecuted. Pray that God will reveal Himself to the leaders of these nations and that they will no longer persecute believers.

Please pray for my aunt who has breast cancer. She will be operated on today. She is 84 years and needs Christ in her life. R.W. U.S.A.
