Pray for Tibetan, Jone of China
Tibetan, Jone of China
Jone county in Gansu province is the home of most of these people, and they have their own language and ethnic identity. Their name is sometimes spelled "Choni". The existence of these people has not been well-known. Jone was the site of an independent kingdom until 1928, when a Chinese general confiscated the land of the Jone prince.
Ministry Obstacles
The identity of the Jone is tied to Tibetan Buddhism, making it especially difficult to embrace a different worldview.
Outreach Ideas
Han Chinese believers may be able to carry the Gospel message to the Jone. Pray that some be given a heart for this mission.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There are a few Christian believers among the Jone. Pray they will grow to become mature in the Lord, and will be faithful witnesses to their family and friends.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray these Buddhist people will be given the knowledge of sin, and will increasingly know the need for the forgiveness found through faith in the completed work of Christ on the cross.

Pray for Arab, Sudanese of Egypt
Arab, Sudanese of Egypt
The Sudanese Arabs originated in the Khartoum region of Sudan many centuries ago. Today, they live primarily in northern and central Sudan and in Egypt. The Sudanese Arabs have intermarried with the African tribes of Sudan, giving them a darker skin tone and some Negroid features.
Ministry Obstacles
A foundational problem is the nature of Christ - is He merely a prophet? The work of the Holy Spirit is necessary to help Muslims grasp the full nature of Christ.
Outreach Ideas
Arabs in Egypt may be more accessible to sources of the Gospel message than in other countries. Pray that Egyptian believers may reach out to these people.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the few Christian believers among the Sudanese Arabs in Egypt, that they may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way. Pray for their protection and growth into maturity.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the Sudanese Arabs wherever they may live, that they will increasingly acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God, and will desire to follow Him.

Terrorists threatened to kill Pastor "Hakim." His relatives pleaded with him to go somewhere safe. But God called him to minister in Iraq. Pastor Hakim and his wife trusted God more than they feared for their safety. One Sunday morning while Hakim was driving to work, three armed men confronted him with guns drawn. They ordered him to stop, but Hakim knew to stop the car meant he would die. Instead, he gunned the engine. The terrorists opened fire, and three shots hit Pastor Hakim. Later, at the hospital, his Muslim doctors said it was a miracle that none of the bullets hit a major organ or artery. After the shooting, Hakim continued his ministry in Iraq. Church bombings, pastor assassinations and kidnappings have forced many Iraqi Christians to flee Iraq's major cities yet, they still proclaim Christ. Christians like Pastor Hakim and his family have stayed in Iraq despite the violence, and they also courageously share Christ's love and forgiveness with their Muslim neighbors, even those who threaten to harm them. Please pray for pastors like Pastor Hakim.
Please pray for mrs. D.G. she tripped and disconnected her shoulder and her orbit got damaged.
I pray that a peaceful arrest of my son's addiction to alcohol and drugs happens today. He is about to either hurt himself or hurt someone else. He has a stronghold, has been in rehab several times already, has lost all his family, and is about to lose the broken down vehicle he sleeps in. God is truly stripping him of everything but he still remains rebellious. I have fear of him. I pray he finally drops his pride and reaches out to God. He needs a Christian rehab and meds for his bipolar disorder. Thank you for your prayer. Bobbie L.
Please pray for our involvement in Nepal. We are conducting crusades there and also assisting the growing number of pastors in the valley. Pray that there will be networking and team work among pastors for a greater harvest. Pray for our desire to penetrate deeper in to the country with the word of God.

The 40-Day University Daniel Fast
The 40-Day University Daniel Fast
March 1—April 9, 2010
There are moments in history when a door for massive change opens. Great revolutions for good or for evil occur in the vacuum created by these openings. It is in these times that key men and women, and even entire generations, risk everything to become the hinge of history—the pivotal point that determines which way the door will swing. We believe that America is in such a moment of history.
The 40-Day Fast
Four years ago, a profound movement of 40 day fasting and prayer chains spontaneously erupted on university campuses across America. God was breathing prayer for university awakenings. At the same time, Lou Engle joined with the Justice House of Prayer in Boston for 40 days of prayer and fasting from March 1st to April 9th. Hundreds of young people gathered to pray and fast, day and night, for breakthrough at Harvard and for the Ivy League schools.
During that 40 day season a trusted godly man had the following dream: “I saw masses of young people with welts on the temples of their head. I then asked, ‘What are those welts on the temples of their head?’ I heard a voice answer; ‘It’s poison ivy on the mind of a generation. The Ivy League universities were intended to be the leaves of healing and to bring the light and the glory of God to the nations of the earth. Instead, they have poisoned the mind of a generation.’” This dream is profound as it speaks to the ideological strongholds we face, but also to the intended purpose of these schools and what could be if we pray.
Now four years later it seems the wind of God is blowing again. Bethany Temple, the leader of JHOP Boston, felt an urgency once again to call all of New England universities to 40 days of fasting, but she needed confirmation. A young man gave her the following dream: Lou Engle was on a stage praying with a drummer behind him. The prayer that was being prayed was “Beseech the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers into the harvest field.” Suddenly, the drummer interrupted Lou with what sounded like the voice of the Lord, declaring, “Now has come the salvation of God! And it will begin on April 9th, 2010.”
Obviously, such a dream with a date must be carefully weighed before the Lord, but April 9th is the same day that the 40day fast ended four years ago and it is also the anniversary of the Azusa Street outpouring. Could it be that Lou Engle praying represents the 40 day fast that God wants to interrupt and answer with a new move of evangelism and a new breed of spiritual awakeners stirring the universities of New England and the nation? Even now, reports of outpourings of the spirit are being heard on scattered universities.
The students of IHOPU in Kansas City, MO have been experiencing an extraordinary move of the Holy Spirit marked by salvation, physical/emotional healing and deliverance. We believe this is only a foretaste of what is about to be released upon our nations campuses. Knowing nothing of the previous dream, the leaders of IHOPU were stirred to launch 40 days of prayer, fasting and evangelism targeting Boston and the Ivy League schools of New England during these very dates – March 1st through April 9th.
On the weekend of April 9th, not coincidentally, Awakening America is gathering students from across the land to Oral Roberts University with an expectation of imminent spiritual visitation in the nation. On April 9th as well, Jeremy Story with One Cry, will be gathering in New York City at Times Square Church and they are expecting hundreds of university students to cry out for campus awakenings in America. Also on February 25th, the Collegiate Day of Prayer is being resurrected after nearly 100 years of silence. Many other prayer initiatives are taking place in our universities. What is going on? Prayer is being breathed for university awakenings and all of this coincides with a prophetic word given by William Seymour, the Azusa Street pioneer, that in 100 years (prophecy given in 1909 by William Seymour) another great outpouring of the Holy Spirit would take place. If we are in such a moment where a door for great change is opening, then by all means we must become the generation that risks everything to become the hinge of history. Let us follow in the path of our Master who fasted 40 days preparing for his apostolic gospel to be unleashed in the earth.
With this faith in our hearts, we are calling all of those whose hearts are stirred in colleges and universities across America to engage March 1st through April 9th in a 40-day Daniel fast (no meats, no sweets and limited intake) March 1st through April 9th releasing one great cry, one dominating prayer, “Lord of the harvest thrust forth laborers into the harvest field. Give us a third great awakening in the universities of America!”
40 years ago a great spiritual rebellion and revolution took place on the campuses of America and now we are reaping the fruit of that 40-year rebellion. But, 40 years are up and we are believing that a new generation will arise with the flaming tongue of the gospel and launch a spiritual revolution that could shake humanism and false ideologies through a mass harvest of souls coming to Christ. Shall we not dare to believe that giants were meant to fall and that God is greater than the boasting spiritual powers that dominate our universities today? Let us go up and possess the land for the sake of Christ.

Pastor Gude Pérez – Appeal is denied

Urgent prayer alert:
Threats heighten as Pakistani Christian faces verdict on Thursday
Qamar David, a 50-year-old Christian, is on trial under Pakistan’s blasphemy laws, and the verdict is expected on Thursday. He has been held in the Central Jail in Karachi since 2006, where previously he has reportedly been threatened and beaten by the prison officials as well as other prisoners.
Parvez Choudhry from Legal Aid for Destitute and Settlement (LADS) in Lahore, who CSW work closely with, is representing Qamar in court. He receives regular death threats against him, his family and his organisation and he and Qamar frequently suffer physical and verbal abuse in and around the courtroom. At the hearing on 9 February, Parvez received a threat saying that he, the accused, and his family would be killed.
When we pray, we see prisoners released!
The verdict on Qamar David’s case will be announced on Thursday, which means further violence is likely. The situation seems desperate, but we know that the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective (James 5:16b). LADS have told CSW that they can tell when we’ve been praying, as they win their court cases and prisoners are released. Let’s stand together in prayer today for Qamar and Parvez!
Please pray:
- For the safety of Qamar David, Parvez Choudhry, their families and the other LADS staff, as Qamar’s case - reaches a critical point on Thursday.
- For peace of mind and spiritual strength for everyone involved in the case.
- For the presiding judge to ensure that justice is done.
- For all those suffering unjustly under Pakistan’s notorious blasphemy laws.
I need plenty more belief, plenty more power of prayer and more Holy Ghost with me. Please pray also that God gives me gifts of God's grade. E. V.
South Africa: Turn2God Conference
It is our prayer that individuals and ministries will join hands as we get together in the capital city, at the Union Buildings as we dedicate our nation and our leaders to God. We need to turn to God for our nation to be healed; hence the theme scripture of the day: 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my Name, will humble themselves, confess their sins, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven and I will heal their land.” Give thanks to God for all the breakthroughs that the organizers have experienced up until now. Pray for the protection of the families of those who are going to take part in the event.
- Pray for permanent regular leaflet distributing clients that I can immediately help and will distribute flyers for will contract my leaflet distributing business to weekly put out 2,00 flyers for them every week and pay their bills immediately when they are due
- Music students that I can immediately help that will learn continually every week and learn long-term will book in for lessons.
- Daily People would phone our church responding to our Church Flyer and Food Co Operative flyer and let them know that they are phoning from having received a flyer.
- Every weapon formed against myself, family members and our businesses would never prosper
- Pray also that whatever has to happen so that the local Christian Radio Station’s flyer will be immediately completed and printed and will immediately happen so I can put the flyer out (for free) straight away. A.
Please pray for my son Radjen, he needs a operation on his eyes, but he also needs salvation. Sis. H.
Pray for mr. L.W. he is in a wheelchair. His arms and legs are very weak, pray for a breakthrough.
Gao Zhisheng – Still missing, one year on
Gao Zhisheng, a Chinese human rights defender, has been missing since February 2009. The Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C. informed a US-based NGO that Gao was “working in Urumqi and has been in contact with his family.” Gao’s wife and brother immediately denied the claim. CSW continues to press high-level contacts for concrete information on Gao’s whereabouts. Pray that he will be found and set free.
Please pray for mrs. W. she has trouble with sleeping at night.
Pray for your community: Courts and Judges
They receive death threats. Some of them experience sleepless nights. A great responsibility rests on their shoulders as they need to make decisions that will affect someone’s life. Please lift up the people that execute judgment in your community. Consider: if you personally know a lawyer or anyone involved in court in some or the other to pray with them and ask God’s blessing upon their lives. Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off for truth is fallen in the street and equity cannot enter. So truth fails, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Then the Lord saw it and it displeased Him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor (Isa. 59:14-16a). Stand in the Lord's strength and war in His armour with the Word of God for those in seats of justice and for the foundation of the judicial system. (Eph. 6:10-18). Release power, love and a sound mind to defend the judges from the spirit of fear and intimidation. (2 im.1:7). Declare that judges in authority over us will "lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and reverence." (1 Tim.2:2).
Hi my brothers and sisters, it is Thursday February 25 and we are getting hit with another snowstorm please say a prayer that GOD will help me stay warm and get through this I ride the subway at night and things get a little dangerous. GOD richly bless you. Brother Danny

International: Prayer focus on France
France, at the centre of Western Europe, has a population of which about 30% is atheist and less than 1% active evangelicals. Rampant secularisation has made the spiritual battleground in France difficult. Pray for France invites Christians from around the world to pray for France from 1-21 March, during the days before Easter. Give thanks to the Lord for this and other initiatives. Pray for the heart of the people of France to turn back to the Lord Jesus. Ask the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory to grant the believers the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. (Eph.1:17). Remind God of His promise that He will heal the land as His people humble themselves in prayer before Him and turn from their wicked ways. (2 Chron.7:14).

Pray for Kagoro of Mali
Kagoro of Mali
The majority of the Kagoro are animists, believing that non-human objects have spirits. In addition, they practice ancestor worship, and rites are celebrated to worship them. The dead are appeased with offerings of millet flour and water. The Kagoro believe that sometimes their ancestors may take the form of animals or even vegetables! Illiteracy is a major problem among the Kagoro. Some Islamic schools have been established, but most villages fail to educate their children because their help is needed on the farm.
Ministry Obstacles
Mali is not a hospitable region for Christian workers. Creative means of access from outsiders are needed.
Outreach Ideas
A low literacy rate suggests the need for oral communication of the Gospel message. Stories from Scripture, and Gospel recordings and videos, can be very helpful.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There may be a few followers of Christ among the Kagoro community; pray they will be nurtured by the Spirit of Jesus, and will become strong in the faith. Pray they will be joyful always, praying continually, and giving thanks in all circumstances.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Kagoro will be set free from the bondage of worshipping created things. Pray also for improved living conditions, and for good schools for the children.

Prayer for Tuareg, Tamajaq of Niger
Tuareg, Tamajaq of Niger
The Tuareg are nomadic people and the principal inhabitants of the Saharan interior of North Africa, and are descended from the Berbers. For over two millennia, the Tuareg operated the trans-Saharan caravan trade connecting the great cities on the southern edge of the Sahara.
Ministry Obstacles
The Tuareg live in areas that may be difficult for Christian workers to enter, and to remain for any length of time.
Outreach Ideas
It may be feasible for traveling teams to take the Jesus film, God's Story video, and Gospel recordings to these people. Stories from Scripture can often powerfully communicate vital truths.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the few believers among the Tuareg, that they may be strengthened in the faith, rooted and established in love, and may become a Godly influence on those around them.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for improved living conditions for the Tuareg, for better educational opportunities for their children, and for improved employment opportunities.

Pray for Gawaria of India
Gawaria of India
The Gawaria consider their ancestry to be from the three brothers Tapasvi Singh, Lakhi Singh and Bhumi Singh, who ruled at some point of time near Jodhpur in Rajasthan. They claim equal status with other nomadic and semi-nomadic communities. Their literacy level is very low due to poverty and their nomadic lifestyle.
Ministry Obstacles
The Gawaria speak several languages, as most communities do in India. Evangelistic and church planting strategies need to accommodate this.
Outreach Ideas
Low literacy rates suggest oral means of communication, using scriptural stories, films, and recordings.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There may be no believers among the Gawaria today, but pray for those that will soon emerge. Pray they will be properly instructed in the faith, and that God will give them capable pastors to help them mature as believers.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for workers to take the Gospel message to each individual in the Gawaria community. Pray the Lord will prepare them to understand, and to believe.

Prayer request for Sumbawa of Indonesia
Sumbawa of Indonesia
The Sumbawa (or Samawa) people group live on the island of Sumbawa in West Nusa Tenggara Province, and are mostly farmers. They are Muslim, but many Sumbawa professing Islam still rely on the advice and help of shamans, especially in times of crisis. They also believe in various spirits and genies, such as samar and bakek.
Ministry Obstacles
The Sumbawa worldview (Islam/Animism) makes it difficult for them to place their faith in the Son of God, Emmanuel.
Outreach Ideas
Indonesian Christians on adjacent islands may bring the Gospel message to the Submawa. Pray they will be given a desire to do this.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There are a few believers among the Sumbawa. Pray they will be properly instructed in the faith, and that they may stand firm and hold to the teachings of Scripture.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Sumbawa will find improved markets for their agricultural products.

Urgent: Remind UNHCR of the danger facing Eritrean refugees in Libya
Two weeks ago we asked you to write to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, asking him to intervene to halt the forcible return of Eritrean refugees and asylum seekers who are currently in various Libyan jails, where they are being mistreated by the prison authorities.
Following your initial intervention, the local UNHCR office slowly began to register the refugees, a move that would offer them a measure of protection. However, registrations now appear to have ground to a halt.
Worse still, we have now been informed that on 2 February twelve Eritreans were forcibly returned to Eritrea. According to the Paris-based station Radio Erena, all twelve are former employees of various Eritrean government ministries, and at least two are former air force personnel. This indicates that the Eritrean Embassy is now able to screen detainees and arrange for selective deportations.
Understandably, the remaining prisoners are increasingly anxious and desperate. Please pray!!!
Stop Trafficking Of People (STOP) kicked off their Public Service Announcement Campaign recently with two compelling videos that focus attention on the growing threat of human trafficking. Numerous incidences of human trafficking targeting young and vulnerable women for sexual exploitation are being reported across the country as we approach the World Cup Finals. STOP’s critical Public Awareness Campaign comes at a time of increased activity in the illegal sex industry including the proliferation of illegal brothels in residential areas across the country. Please support STOP’s Campaign by viewing their Public Service Announcement (PSA) videos and encouraging family, friends and your Church to view this important & informative clip. Pray that this campaign will be fully support by South Africans. Pray that believers will be watchful and take a stand in prayer on behalf of the innocent and the vulnerable.
Please pray for my marriage, there is an other woman involved. That this bound will be broken completely and that this marriage will be restored..
My prayer request is for my fiancé Sanitize D. He went on a business trip to Africa back in mid Dec. 09. His trip was supposed to be for only 3 days and now it is mid February.
During this trip he has faced many battles and so many obstacle we have believe God to deliver him from and get him home Safely. During this trip his life has been threaten physically and sickness come on him.
He is Gods anointed and I know God will deliver him. When he returns we have a a lot of work to do in the ministry for God. This week he was put in the Havana Hospital in Logos, Nigeria fighting the disease Meningitis. I have exhausted all my finances because of these problems that have occurred since DEC.. It has put my whole family in financial strain. I have planted seed faith at church and in constant prayer for our family delivered from this attack from Satan. We are standing on the word and God has given me peace and reassured me that it is His hand that will deliver him from this destruction it is only God Almighty who will get the praise. And To stand.. To keep standing...
Now, The doctors are telling me that they wont give him treatment because I cannot send the payment for the procedure and that it has spread into his lymphnoids and the result is death in this. They are only giving him pain killers.
I was upset because of this news and circumstances. I have no other answer the only way I can look is to God and praise Jesus for his promises. I praise God we are in a country that will help us when we are sick, I did not realize so many countries are selfish and money hungry and let peoples loose their lives and suffer. I know God is bigger than any of these problems...
Please lift our family up in prayer and stand in agreement with us for the manifestation of Gods hand to deliver our family from this attack. Thank you Pennie B.

Dr Cristina Olázabal, the Peruvian human rights campaigner who was arrested in January, has contacted CSW to share how encouraging your cards and letters have been.

It's been just over a month since the 7.0 earthquake devastated Haiti. More than 250,000 people died. Even more were injured. Some continue to be among the walking wounded. Infections are common and now life-threatening. While lives are still at risk, many have already forgotten Haiti. The media has turned their attention elsewhere. The Church is encouraged to continue to cry out to God on behalf of the Haitians. Christians have been able to share their faith in the midst of tragedy. But the tragedy will grow as the rainy season hits. The rainy season is going to exacerbate the problem with diseases like cholera breaking out – a disease that is not common in Haiti. Then June comes around, the hurricane season. Pray that God would bless the relief efforts in Haiti, speeding them up and saving people from the suffering and hardships that they are currently facing. Pray that everyone would be able to get access to all the safe drinking water, food, immunisations and other medical treatment that they need. Pray that God would continue to act powerfully through Christian aid workers in Haiti, and that He would give them wisdom to serve the Haitian community.
Please pray for pastor John T.L., he is in Dubai for a crusade. Next week he is going to Pakistan for meetings. Pray for his safety and also for his family. R.

Jawa Pesisir Lor of Indonesia
The Jawa Pesisir Lor are known to express their convictions with action and emotion, not just words. Many view traditional Jawa culture as backward and are proud of what they consider to be their more modern worldview and stronger Islamic commitment. Pray for Jumjum, Berin of Sudan
Jumjum, Berin of Sudan
The Jumjum are a Nilotic people, a term used to refer to those who live in or around the upper Nile Valley. Long subjected to foreign influence, the Jumjum are a somewhat mixed group. In years past, they have had close contact with the Dinka, Nuer, and Shilluk groups. These tribes often invaded the Jumjum area, raiding it for slaves. The Jumjum are closely related, both geographically and linguistically, to the Burun; and some consider the two groups as one. The Jumjum are farmers and shepherds. Most are animists, and worship the supreme god Dyong.

Regeibat of Western Sahara
The Regeibat comprise several tribes of Bedouin nomads in the interior of the country. They are a subgroup of the Moors, an Arab-Berber people. Pray for Hausa of Nigeria
Hausa of Nigeria
The rise of the seven Hausa states of northern Nigeria occurred between 500 and 700 A.D. The history of the area is intricately tied to Islam and the Fulani who wrested political power from the Hausa in the early 1800s through a series of holy wars. There was an Islamic presence in Hausaland as early as the 11th century. In the early days the number of individuals who accepted Islam was small, and among those who did, it was usually practiced along with traditional Hausa religious beliefs. It was not until the early 1800s that the Fulani began to put pressure on the Hausa to undergo large scale conversion.
Ministry Obstacles
There is much mistrust and hostility between the Muslim tribes of northern Nigeria and the more generally Christian tribes to the south.
Outreach Ideas
The many followers of Jesus in southern Nigeria may find ways to more effectively carry the good news of Christ to their Hausa neighbors to the north. Pray they will be able to overcome tribal hostilities.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the few followers of Christ among the Ajawa Hausa, that they will find each other and fellowship together. Pray they will trust fully in Christ and His finished work on the cross, and will be given a heart to follow Christ closely. Pray they will be faithful representatives of Christ to their family and friends.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the large Hausa community to increasingly desire to find out more about Isa (Jesus), to search for people to tell them about Jesus. Pray the Lord will give them teachable and understanding hearts. Pray also for peace in northern Nigeria.

The City of Cape Town is showing growing commitment to the fight against prostitution, the proliferation of brothels, pimping and sex trafficking is already beginning to pay dividends. Several prominent city brothels masquerading as beauty salons and massage parlours were raided and shut down over the last week. These establishments were operating without licenses and violating other City by-laws. Incredibly, despite mounting and credible evidence that vulnerable teens are being lured into prostitution by these “salons” through false and misleading advertising – newspapers continue to publish their ads thereby indirectly promoting prostitution and sex trafficking. Pray that all the cities hosting visitors during the World Cup will promote sexual purity and good moral values. Pray that newspapers will stop with misleading advertisements luring innocent people into the sex industry.
Hi, my brothers and sisters, could you please say a prayer that something good will happen to me this week I desperately need a break. GOD richly bless you. Brother Danny
US activist freed from detention in North Korea
Thank you so much for praying for Robert Park, the Christian missionary who went into North Korea on Christmas Day and has just been released from detention. We thank God for his safety and that he is recovering with his family. Robert’s aim was to raise awareness of the human rights abuses in North Korea, and you can help achieve this by lobbying your MEP today.
Despite rising divorce rates it seems that marriage is still an overwhelming aspiration for young people in Northern Ireland. New figures reveal that over 90% say they want to get married. This information emerges in one of the largest surveys into sexual attitudes carried out in the province. Over a thousand 16-30 year olds were asked about their attitudes and behaviours around relational and sexual issues for the survey. Uniquely, the survey was also designed to probe into whether and in what way faith had an impact in these areas. 87% of young people surveyed said they believe that the Bible has something to teach about relationships and sex. 81% of respondents said they thought pornography was harmful and yet 79% of males had accessed it online. 63% of those surveyed felt that sex before marriage is always wrong. Pray that God will protect the minds of young people and that they would hold on to these positive beliefs. Pray that young people will be an example to believers in word, conduct, in love, in spirit in faith, in purity. (1 Tim.4:12).
Angie is in currently in England caring for her mother who contracted pneumonia and was put in the hospital. She has stabilized but does needs our prayer. Please be praying for her and her mother. O.H.
BurmaPray for the protection of Burmese refugees
Last week CSW reported that 3,000 Burmese refugees in Thailand were being threatened with forcible return to Burma. CSW briefed the UK Government and the EU, and various media including The Independent quoted CSW’s press release. The good news is that the deportations have now stopped, and three families who were sent back to their home villages have been allowed to return to Thailand.
But the remaining Karen refugees face being sent back to a landmine-infested camp in Burma, after fleeing attacks by the Burma Army in June last year. There’s no guarantee that the Thai Government won’t continue the deportations after UN officials leave the area. Please keep upholding these vulnerable people in prayer, asking God to protect them.
There is a Call to intercessors throughout the world to go to the Vancouver area in Canada during the Winter Olympics (Feb. 12-28, 2010) to join in prayer for God’s purposes during this critical time. They will intercede for this strategic gateway city, its call to the nations, and the specific opportunity to offer hospitality that the Church in the Vancouver region is rising up to meet. The Keats Island International Prayer Centre is a short-term effort to mobilize intercessory prayer support for the Vancouver region, Canada, and the nations during the Winter Olympics from Feb 12 – 28, 2010, and especially for the hospitality ministries of ‘More Than Gold’, (the interdenominational group that is coordinating the churches in the Metro Vancouver Area). A seasoned leadership team will provide a variety of forms and opportunities for focused prayer throughout each day. Pray for the leadership of this event, pray that they will wait and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide them through every strategy and prayer. Pray for those who are travelling to Vancouver from other regions will have a safe journey. Pray that every intercessor’s prayer will be led by God’s Spirit and that they will declare God’s Word over every situation and into the lives of every one that will visit that town over this period of time.

Pray for Jula, Dyula of Cote d'Ivoire
Jula, Dyula of Cote d'Ivoire
The Dyula live in clans, and the clan is the most important aspect of their lives. The people are fiercely loyal to their clans, defending them proudly. They express their history and devotion through the oral traditions of dance and storytelling. The Dyula have great respect for the elderly, especially if a man is an Islamic scholar. The moral principles of the Dyula are based on obedience, honesty, and dedication to their people. Such precepts are motivated by a driving sense of human dignity.
Ministry Obstacles
To follow Jesus is to risk losing clan support, and family support.
Outreach Ideas
Christians should care for the material and physical needs of the Jula community, earning the right to be heard as representatives of Christ.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the handful of followers of Christ among the Jula people, that they will cling strongly to the truths of Scripture, resting upon the finished work of Christ. Pray they become strong enough in the faith to represent the Lord well among their own people.
Pray for the entire people group
Proper sanitation and health care are lacking among the Dyula. Medical missionaries are needed to live and work among the Dyula, showing them the love of Jesus in practical ways.

Pray for Landoma of Guinea
Landoma of Guinea
The Landumas live much of their lives from hand to mouth, with little or no reserve of money or goods. The harvest of rice and/or millet is always gone several months before the next harvest comes in, resulting in much hunger. Often they find it necessary to go into debt in order to buy food, to buy seed to plant, to build a house, to get married, or to handle other large expenses. When a crop comes in, the debts must be paid. Most Landumas profess Islam; a few are Catholics. Regardless of outward religion, nearly all continue to hold to animistic beliefs.
Ministry Obstacles
Social interdependence and community solidarity make it very difficult for a Landuma person to make important decisions on his own. He must carefully consider how those he depends on will react.
Outreach Ideas
Christian workers need to minister to the physical and material needs of the Landuma, being genuinely concerned.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray the few followers of Christ among the Landumas will develop strong friendships with other believers, providing a new support system.
Pray for the entire people group
The Landumas need people to minister among them to help them learn better farming, business, and health practices. More schools are needed, as well.

Pray for the Nisu, Jianshui of China
Nisu, Jianshui of China
The Jianshui Nisu have been a dominant group in southern Yunnan for many centuries. They worship numerous spirits, some of whom are considered benevolent and others evil. The first missionaries in Jianshui arrived in 1933 and stayed for two years, and today there are a small number of Nisu Christians in Gaoda District.
Ministry Obstacles
Spirit worship must be overcome and replaced by worship of the living God.
Outreach Ideas
Han Chinese believers may be able to help disciple the Jianshui Nisu believers, giving them a vision to reach the remainder of their people group.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the believers among the Jianshui Nisu, that they would be properly taught in the faith, making the most of every opportunity, understanding what the Lord's will is.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray that all of the Jianshui Nisu people group will increasingly desire to learn of Jesus, his life and finished work on the cross.

Testimony: Ena Zizi was participating in a prayer group at the national cathedral in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, when the structure came down on her during the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that hit the island on January 12, 2010. Miraculously, the 70-year-old Zizi survived seven days trapped under the rubble before she was rescued by international search crews this week. A person can, give or take, expect to survive 72 hours trapped without water or food. Zizi managed to hold on for twice as long. Her son said he had no doubt that his mother's faith played a role in her survival.

Praise God for our Radio Programme “Ek aur Ek Gyarah” (one and one eleven) that will be aired from today in India through the government owned FM Rainbow. It is a programme aimed at raising awareness about HIV/AIDS. It will reach 23 states of India at the same time. “Moeders in Gebed” is an organization in the Netherlands that wants to encourage the mothers, grandmothers, aunts and everyone with a passion for children, to pray for their child at the school. They have prayer pointers based on four steps: Praising God, confessing sins, thanking God and interceding for the children and the school based on relevant Scripture verses. Pray that these women will do according to the following scripture - Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children who faint from hunger at the head of every street. (Lam.2:19).
Hi, my brothers and sisters asking special prayer for God’s strength and provision just to keep going for the LORD and not quit. GOD richly bless you. Brother Danny
Showing solidarity with the Kogui Christians
CSW is delighted to report that representatives from the Kogui Christian community were invited to the British Embassy, following their detention and pressure to recant their faith. They were told that the UK was concerned about their situation, and that the Embassy had received a lot of letters about the case. Please pray that the Koguis will feel God’s strength and comfort with them, and that their case would be swiftly resolved.
With the World Soccer Cup ‘kick off’ only five months away there is an urgency within the Body of Christ to prepare the spiritual atmosphere in our nation for the reaping in of the harvest during the four weeks of this momentous event. There is no doubt that persistent, consistent faith-filled prayer for South Africa is critical if we want to experience breakthroughs. Local churches throughout the nation need to wake up to the urgent realization that they have a vital role to play in reaching out to their communities during the World Cup. Pray for church leaders that they will envision, encourage and release their congregations to be mobilized for outreach. Pray that local churches will unite as never before to work together within their cities and towns to build the Kingdom of God. Pray that the bigger and more resourced churches will reach out and help the smaller, under-resourced churches – so that people will join God’s Kingdom.
Praise God for our senior Pastor Rev. Abraham Sahu as God is using him for His Glory and he is heading the Ministry in India and outside. Pray for his faith to grow day by day and also for his family and his good health and strength. He has one son and two daughters whom God is using. Pray so that he stays strong in his Call for India and that the vision God gave him will be actualised. India

Pray that our house is not going to be closed up in gods hands that God will touch everyone who is handling this. Pray that I will have a deeper and close walk with God with revelation and knowledge and an understanding of his word. John.
The 2010 list of persecuted Christians puts North Korea in first position, Iran second and Saudi Arabia third. North Korea sees religious activity as insurrection to the socialist principle. The regime aims to eradicate Christian activities through campaigns of 150 and 100 days of aggressive searches for secret Christians to arrest, kill and torture in horrible ways. In Iran 85 Christians were arrested for their faith to distract attention from internal problems. Many Christians are monitored and threatened, causing great fear. Recognised minority Armenian and Assyrian churches reported imprisonment, physical abuse, harassment and discrimination. Church services are monitored by secret police and cell group members are aggressively questioned, beaten and put in jail. Pray that other believers around the world will continue to pray for fellow believers that are being persecuted. Pray that God will reveal Himself to the leaders of these nations and that they will no longer persecute believers.
Please pray for my aunt who has breast cancer. She will be operated on today. She is 84 years and needs Christ in her life. R.W. U.S.A.

Pray for Khmer of Cambodia
Khmer of Cambodia
The Khmer civilization once ruled much of Southeast Asia. In the 1200s, the Thais and Vietnamese defeated the Khmer and pushed them into Cambodia, where most live today. The huge Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia gives evidence of past glories. They have been primarily Buddhist since the 13th century, but elements of Hinduism and animism are mingled with Buddhist beliefs.
Ministry Obstacles
Centuries of devotion to their past belief system are not quickly overcome, but there is much progress.
Outreach Ideas
Multiple means of evangelism, discipleship, and church planting are needed for this large people group. Opportunities are numerous.
Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the steady growth of the church among the Khmer, that they will continue to have a heart of fire for God and a passion for the souls of their countrymen.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Khmer will heal from the tragedies brought by the Khmer Rouge, and that this past suffering will prepare them for the love and forgiveness found only in Jesus Christ.

Jesus told his disciples, "Let not your heart be troubled". I believe Jesus is telling each of us the same words today as we face so many hardships and financial crisis in the world. It is my prayer that we will find shelter in Jesus and as we do so, let us continue to look to him in prayer and in faith.
Kindly join us in praying for various needs of our ministry. We count on you as you take these to the Masters throne.

Pray for the ministry of professor Kjurram. Persecution against Christians in the region of Pakistan has been on the rise for about 10-15 years. The women are widows whose husbands were killed by Muslim extremists. That region is not secure when it comes to Christianity, it being predominantly a radically Muslim region. Men converts that work in the mills and factories are humiliated, tortured and killed and their surviving families end up widowed and orphaned because of their new found faith in Jesus Christ. Many women who have been divorced by their husbands because of converting to Christianity, flea to safety because their lives are in constant danger and threat from their Muslim husbands who threaten to kill them.
Please pray for my brother (who is not a Christian). He is having open-heart surgery tomorrow, February 2, at 6 a. M. (mountain standard time). D.
