“The Lamb who died to save us, is the Shepherd who lives to lead us.” 1 Cor. 5:7 Have a blessed weekend, Roberto Wijnhof GPN

We praise God for unity on our team. Pray for revival and transformation in our nation; that what the enemy meant for harm God would work together for good right now by causing the Kingdom of Christ to be established throughout the entire region. S.

In North Africa, an ex-imam was jailed years ago after becoming a follower of Christ. He led many fellow Muslim inmates to faith, though. The "Christian imam" has been transferred from one prison to another. The same thing happens each time: He starts churches in the prisons. In another region, an evangelistic team arrived in a Muslim village to show the JESUS Film. The largest wall in the village was the wall of the mosque, so team members asked the local imam for permission to project the film onto it. He granted their request. That night, after the film was shown, he was the first to respond to the call of Christ. Hundreds followed.

Knowledge of the Bible and its stories is declining among people in the UK. Young people believe the Bible is "old-fashioned" and “irrelevant". A survey of more than 900 Britons from faith and non-faith backgrounds revealed that as many as 60 per cent could say nothing at all about the Good Samaritan. "Wasn't he the man who helped the woman at the well?" asked one respondent, while 62 per cent of respondents did not know the parable of the prodigal son. And only one in 20 interviewees was able to name all of the Ten Commandments. Sixteen per cent said they knew none of them.

Pray for Russia to be free from evil influences. He still sees his old alcoholic friends, who are against him being saved. His drunk friends used to call my appt. and say that they wanted to do me harm. They are in need of our prayers.

Please, pray for me to be delivered: I've been attacked by various sicknesses and pains.

Pray and thank God for our lives and ministry. Asks God to bless us with millions souls save in His kingdom. That He only be glorified in us and that His will be done in us. I. B.

As South Africa prepares to host the 2010 World Cup, medical experts warn about the need to protect visiting fans from HIV/AIDS. Although reports say the country's epidemic is stabilizing, South Africa still has the largest number of HIV infections in the world. The virus has the worst impact in the communities around South Africa's platinum mines and diamond mines. The only hope for these communities seems to be a change in values according to the Word of God. Pray that the values according to God’s Word will be shared with children at a young age so that when they reach the age of sexual maturity they will be able to make the right decisions.

In the Central African country, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), war has ravaged the land for the past five years and left three million dead. The life expectancy rates are age 45 for men and age 48 for women. Wycliffe Associates (Bible translators) realizes this country needs Jesus more than ever and will be constructing a Bible translation center in the city of Bunia in northeastern DRC. Some of the violence has subsided in this region recently and they are making use of this window of opportunity to establish a permanent center in this area. Missionaries have reported in the past that conflict subsides when people begin to absorb the Bible in their own heart language. Pray for God to work in the hearts of the locals as this project begins, that they will be receptive to the Gospel when it is presented to them. Declare the power of God’s Word over DRC according to these Scriptures – Ps.19:7-11; Ps.119.
