GOD'S PROMISE

God’s Promise

“Your Heavenly Father already knows all of your needs, and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern” (Matt. 6:32-33).

Read that verse carefully. There are some salient points we need to consider.

1. God already knows all your needs. Mention your needs to him. No need to explain things to an omnipresent God.

2. He will give you all you need from day to day. Begin now to praise him for it, even though you can’t see it.

3. But remember, God’s promises are conditional. You must do your part, if you expect God to do his part. What’s your part?

    a. Live for him.
    b. Make his Kingdom your primary concern.

The label on God's prescription for worry reads, "...in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:6-7).

Wow! We don't have to wrestle, capture, or force anything or anyone. We simply pray thankful believing prayers, and Jesus keeps our hearts and minds with God's peace. What an amazing prescription!

Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27).

When we pray thankful prayers, Christ gives us his peace, and we are no longer troubled or afraid. So, God’s antidote for worry or anxiety is to pray with thanksgiving.
