(ANS) -- Faith Comes By Hearing Audio Bible Ministry recently added four languages to its expanding catalog of recorded Scripture.
According to a news release from
Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH, now at 737 languages, these combined
recordings represent a potential outreach to more than 5.7 billion
people - or over three-quarters of the world's population.
The new releases are:
Balantak - Indonesia
Kolami, Northwestern - India
Shuar - Ecuador
Zapoteco de Zoogocho - Mexico
Kolami is the largest people group of the four, while the smallest is Zapoteco de Zoogocho, spoken by about 1,400 people in Mexico. Combined, these newest releases represent more than 278,000 people who now have God's Word in audio available to them.

In
addition to these new languages, FCBH has also released the Arabic Old
Testament in audio. This recording recently completed by the ministry
will provide access to the entire Bible for Arabic speakers. Behind
only English and Spanish, Arabic is the third most streamed and
downloaded language on the ministry's digital platform.
Faith
Comes By Hearing said in its news release that the min
istry remains committed to the mission of making God's Word freely
available to everyone in their native language, and is encouraged that
supporters continue to help make this possible.
"Whether
it be through resources, technology, our talented and dedicated staff,
or ministry partners from all over the world - God's provision continues
to make our work possible," said Jerry Jackson, FCBH founder and
president, speaking in the news release.
Jackson
has seen the growth of a small tape-lending library established in 1972
to what is now the world's largest resource of digital Scripture
content.
Collectively known
as the Digital Bible Platform, Faith Comes By Hearing offers free access
to this digital collection of Scripture via streaming, downloads and
podcasts. In addition, the Bible.is and Deaf Bible.is apps are available
for mobile devices.
Approved
developers and ministries can also have access to the content on the
Digital Bible Platform to incorporate into their apps, software and
websites.
For those areas that do not yet have regular access to the Internet or mobile devices, FCBH also provides Audio New Testaments on solar-powered Proclaimers for listening groups. There are more than 330,000 Proclaimers in use worldwide.

The ministry's goal is to record and provide access to the Word of God in every translated language.
