Christians
in northern Kenya sing and dance at their usual worship site – under
the trees. Gospel workers with a ministry based in Kenya are planting
churches among people who had never heard of Jesus Christ. “New places
are being reached each day with the gospel, and new churches are being
planted,” the director of the indigenous ministry said. Ministry teams
are working with communities to dig wells for clean water, which has
reduced conflicts over scarce water supplies and opened ears to hear the
gospel. “The communities now with wells are peaceful, and the preaching
has been made easier, since women don’t waste time trekking in search
of water,” he said. “We thank and praise God for opening doors for us
and for the new opportunities in our mission.”
