We recently shared Nankpak’s story with you, and as a result
many of you chose to join us in supporting Nigerian orphans. After
Nankpak lost his father, mother and two younger siblings, he felt
incredibly alone. But Scripture reminds us that we are never alone.
After VOM helped Nankpak relocate to a safe Christian environment, he
began to mature in his faith and eventually was able to forgive the
Islamic extremists who murdered his family.
Hundreds of children like Nankpak have been orphaned when their
parents were martyred for their faith, and we continue to be able to
meet their needs because of your faithful giving.
After Nankpak shared his story with a VOM worker, he sent the
worker a note to express his gratitude: “Thank you so much for the
encouraging words and for always remembering me in your prayers. It was
such a high level of kindness. I felt loved and cared for. It actually
showed me a clear equality in the body of Christ. Despite the distance
and difference in skin color, we are bound by LOVE. I sincerely hope and
wish you visit again soon.”
