A
doctor attends a small child from a displaced family in Iraq at a
mobile medical clinic made possible by assistance from Christian Aid
Mission donors. Following a nine-month military campaign that drove
nearly 900,000 people from their homes, on July 10 the Iraqi government
declared U.S.-backed Iraqi forces had retaken Mosul, a major city
captured by Islamic State terrorists three years ago. An indigenous
ministry has staffed the mobile medical clinic with several doctors who
treat people from the van or in designated locations around Dohuk. The
mobile clinic provides medicines and treatment for Yazidis, Muslims and
Christians in remote mountains of northern Iraq. “More than 20 men and
women volunteer to see the patients, pray with them, talk to them about
Christ and distribute tracts and Bibles,” the ministry director said.
“It improves the overall health of the Internally Displaced People and
shows the love of Christ in word and deed.” The ministry welcomes your
gift for continued medical care.
