SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA (ANS – March 24, 2016) -- Mr. Joshua Segun Ijagbemi, a Nigerian career diplomat (Minister of the Nigerian Embassy in South Korea), and an ordained pastor of Winners’ Chapel in Nigeria, also known as Living Faith Church Worldwide, recently paid a visit to Urim Books, a Christian publishing house in Seoul, South Korea.
DSC 1891JoshuaHe toured the offices of the publisher and also took time out to endorse “Worship in Spirit and Truth”, a new book authored by Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, senior pastor of 120,000 member Manmin Central Church in Seoul.
Ijagbemi said that Dr. Lee’s books shows the “Christian’s spiritual life live by God’s will”, and he added that especially “Worship in Spirit and Truth” biblically explains how to offer “spiritual worship that is pleasing to God in detail”.
“Worship in Spirit and Truth” delves into the lessons and the significance and different offerings provided by individually exploring burnt offerings, grain offerings, peace offerings, sin offerings, and guilt offerings, as they apply to us living in New Testament times. This book also helps to explain, in detail, how we are to serve God.
In the book, Dr Lee writes that “Some people claim that because Leviticus is about laws on offering to God in the Old Testament way, the book is irrelevant to us today. This could not be more false because of the significance of the Old Testament laws on worship that are embedded in the ways in which we worship today.
“Only when we follow the spiritual significance of Old Testament laws on offerings, which were blameless, can we also worship God in New Testament times in spirit and truth”.
Joshua Segun Ijagbemi has over three decades of bilateral, multicultural and multilateral service experience in Africa, Europe and Asia. Since joining the Commission -- the affiliated international churches known as Winners’ Chapel International, with headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria -- in 1989, he has served Dr. David Oyedepo, the Presiding Bishop, in various capacities within and outside of Nigeria.
Recently, Dr. Joshua Segun Ijagbemi authored a book entitled, “Testimonies of Faith”.
In 2015, South Korea and Nigeria, marked the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Christianity is practiced by 58% of the population in Nigeria.
