Jew, Polish in Israel
Poland was once
home to the largest Jewish population in Europe and served as the
center for Jewish culture, ranging from a long period of religious
tolerance and prosperity among the country's Jewish population, to its
nearly complete genocidal destruction by Nazi Germany. About three
million Polish Jews were killed during the Holocaust. Most of the
remaining Jews left Poland in the late 1960s, and many found their way
to Israel.
Ministry Obstacles
For a Jew to follow Jesus is to invite ridicule from the Jewish community.
Outreach Ideas
The Gospel of Christ is available to the Polish Jews of Israel. But they need the desire to receive it. Pray for that desire to emerge.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There are few if any followers of the Messiah Jesus among the Polish Jews of Israel, but pray for the Jews who will soon come to Christ from this people group. Pray they will quickly become firmly established in the faith, not doubting or wavering.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the Polish Jews to increasingly have the veil removed from their eyes - the veil mentioned by the apostle Paul, which prevents the Jews from perceiving their Messiah.
Scripture Focus
"And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." Genesis 12:3 |
