Do You Ever Have a Hard Time Completely Trusting God?
“Our ability to trust God is directly tied into how much we know Him.”
It was amazing to me the number of people who refused to take the money!
(One kid took the money, but his mother made him bring it back!)
It was completely obvious after an hour or so of trying to give away cash that people simply do not trust people they do not know—and because they did not know me (or trust me) they missed a blessing.
I believe that’s the way it is with The Lord at times.
The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 that He has great plans for us.
The Bible also says in Ephesians 3:20 He wants to do so much more for us than we could ask or imagine.
And then Scripture clearly states in I Corinthians 2:9 that we can’t even conceive how much good He has planned for us.
However, our ability to trust Him is directly tied into how much we know Him.
If we think He is angry, mean, vindictive or cruel, we will never fully surrender.
However, if we see Him as a good God who wants good things for His children, then, even when we cannot see His hands we can trust His heart and can position ourselves to receive the blessings He wants to pour into our lives … if we will simply trust Him.
