Turkish Path

An Iranian refugee is baptized at a church in Samsun, Turkey. A local pastor said the church was able to provide the refugee food and medicine when he showed up earlier this year. “I kept telling him that we were praying for him, and I had given him a New Testament in his native tongue, Farsi,” he said. “One Sunday morning, very early, he phoned me, and with his poor Turkish told me, ‘Brother, Jesus is God, Jesus is God; I wish becoming a Christian.” The refugee is expected to be relocated to New Zealand. “When we become the means for finding even one such lost sheep that Jesus loved and gave His life for,” the pastor said, “it’s a thing that makes me very happy, and I feel very thankful for your prayers and support enabling us to continue with this ministry.”
