Regeibat in Western Sahara
The Regeibat comprise several tribes of Bedouin
nomads in the interior of the country. They are a subgroup of the Moors,
an Arab-Berber people. Slavery has been abolished but may still be
practiced in some areas. Slavery has brought attention to the injustices
and inequalities tolerated by traditional Moor society.Ministry Obstacles
The Regeibat live in an area of limited access, both geographically and because of attitudes.
Outreach Ideas
Films such as the Jesus film and the God's Story video can be helpful, especially if supplemented by hearing stories from Scripture.
Pray for the followers of Christ
There are few if any believers among the Regeibat, but pray for those that will soon emerge. Pray they will be accurately instructed in the faith, and that they will be strengthened by the Holy Spirit to live holy lives.
Pray for the entire people group
Pray that each individual in the Regeibat people group may hunger to know forgiveness for their sins found only through faith in Jesus Christ, and that this hunger will soon be satisfied.
Scripture Focus
"This gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations and then the end will come." Matthew 24:14
