“A well read Bible is the sign of a well fed soul.” Psalm 119:130. That our souls may be fed by the Word of God this coming weekend. So pray for your shepherds. Roberto Wijnhof
Thank you for lifting up Burma in your prayers last Saturday
CSW, Partners and 3P Ministries would like to thank everyone who prayed for Burma on the Global Day of Prayer. The London event was a great success with over 150 guests gathering to pray. Speakers, guests and staff were profoundly touched by all they heard. And one thing was clear; God was there in our midst and our prayers were being heard. The tangible presence of God electrified the room.
Two women paramedics were attacked by men and one of the two women was raped when attending to a burnt toddler. Please pray for people who are providing services in your community – paramedics, firemen, the police force, medical staff, etc. Pray for their protection while they are serving in the community. This year is the tenth anniversary of the first Day of prayer and repentance, which took place at the Newlands Rugby Stadium in Cape Town. Global Day of Prayer (GDOP) and Cape Peninsula Transformation (CPT) are calling people in Cape Town to gather and unite in prayer (from 13:00- 16:00) at the new Cape Town Stadium, to pray for the youth and the upcoming World Soccer Cup. Only 50,000 people can be accommodated. Pray for everyone who is organizing the event – God’s protection over their loved ones, property, health, etc. Pray for final arrangements to run smoothly. Ask God to provide for all their needs in miraculous ways.
Thank you so much for praying for us. Please continue to pray for our marriage and for my husband and for my father-in-law's tumor result. I'm still waiting for my husband's update and I'm a bit worried... Mrs. H.W.
Over the past year we have reported several unusual instances of Moroccan authorities breaking up Christian gatherings in various places. In February, a meeting of perhaps 20 participants was broken up by a contingent of some 60 soldiers. Each of these events was accompanied by the deportation of one or more foreign Christian participants. However, until the event in February, each were considered isolated instances of apparent local opposition. It now seems they were instances of what appears to be a radical departure from previous Moroccan policy. According to many reports received within the past week, as many as 42 or more Christians from eight different nations located in ten or more cities or towns in Morocco have been deported since the beginning of March. Many have been given only minutes to leave after years or even decades living in Morocco. Pray for those that have been forced to leave and those that remain behind. Pray that those deported will know the Father's comfort, presence and peace, and quickly discover His plan for their future. Pray that the national Moroccan Christians will be strengthened, not intimidated, by these events. Declare that God is the Father of the many children who stayed behind. Declare God’s names over them according to Ps. 18 – He is their Rock, their Fortress, Deliverer, God, Strength, Shield, Horn of their Salvation and Fortress.
Stop the Demolition of a Chinese Church
I am writing this e-mail as an urgent call for you to speak up for our brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ who have been silenced by the Chinese government.
More than 50,000 members of the Linfen Church network in China are suffering today after an unprecedented attack on one of their many branch churches. In September 2009, Chinese authorities raided a branch of the Linfen Church in Fushan, demolishing buildings and injuring more than 100 church members. Weeks later, church leaders were arrested and sentenced to prison.
Now the Chinese government plans to demolish the network's flagship church, the Jindengtang (Golden Lamp) Church building in Shanxi province. The church, which was recently constructed to house the Linfen network's growing congregation, can seat as many as 5,000 people.
Help prevent the Chinese government from destroying the Golden Lamp Church building!
Join with VOM and ChinaAid Association in a campaign to prevent the demolition of this church building. Perhaps together, our voices can help save a church building that has meant so much to our persecuted brothers and sisters in this part of China.
PRAY. The Linfen Christians are asking their brothers and sisters around the world to join their fervent prayer that God will soften the hearts of government officials and save their church building from demolition.
PAKISTAN: YET ANOTHER ASSAULT ON A CHRISTIAN FAMILY
Dear friends and intercessors, This is a prayer request for a Christian persecuted family.
