I'm concerned about Sveta. She creates constant conflict and wants to buy unneeded things all the time. I talk to her about it, but she doesn't listen. She needs to mature. Pray for her to trust me, to be a good friend and to be responsible. Thanks. S. Moscow.

Pray for this street kid! Alec is 10 years old. Now he lives in a shack, sleeps on a dirt floor. He has to beg for food. He's not allowed to go to school. He's always very hungry, when we come to feed the street kids. He's often very dirty and ill.
Please, pray for my neighbour to be delivered from heavy drinking, smoking and being loud with his friends. Pray for him and his girlfriend to be saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. His girlfriend Tanya is a Muslim. Pray for her son to be saved.

There are an estimated 10,000 child labourers in South Africa (this excludes children in sexual slavery), most of which are trafficked into slave like conditions. 1,410 children under the age of 18 were murdered and 16,068 were raped. This is a 22% increase and a 7% decrease on 2006/07 numbers respectively (South African Police Services). It is estimated that more than 2 million children have died globally as a direct result of armed conflicts since 1990, with a further 6 million children permanently disabled or seriously injured. The World Weekend of Prayer for Children at Risk is scheduled for 6-7June 2009. Pray for the protection of the children in your community. Pray that they will grow in wisdom as Jesus did when He was sitting in the temple at a young age (Lk.2:52). Pray that children all around the world would know the love of Jesus in their everyday lives.

Please pray for me as I had an unfortunate incident at work. I work nights as a care assistant but on this night sleep overtook me and my manager found me asleep. So they have taken action against me not work for them anymore, but please pray for God’s favour that I will find a better job and that there will not be any damaging consequences.

Prayer for North Korea.

Please pray that there will be a provision of assistance to all those who are hiding along the border areas, and for the safety of women who arrive in China and are vulnerable to abuse and exploitation.

Pray for protection, wisdom and guidance for all those helping North Koreans, who do so knowing they face risk of arrest and detention.

Remember those who are forcibly returned to North Korea from China, especially if they have become Christians and face torture and possible execution if their faith is discovered.

Pray that China will recognise its duty to protect individuals who have fled North Korea and face persecution if returned.

On Sunday, June 7th, the Lebanese Parliamentary Elections take place. In Lebanon, there are far more than two major political parties! Sometimes described as a “neighbourhood of gangs,” Lebanon is a small country characterized by religious and political diversity. Religion and politics run deep in Lebanon. They determine who people are, who they associate with, and how they live. Due to generations of violence between groups in Lebanon, her people are increasingly committed to their own allegiances while still longing for change. Many Lebanese are becoming numb to the constant chaos that these divisions create. Parliamentary Elections in Lebanon occur every five years, but this election on Sunday, June 7th, is especially significant because it has the potential to make the divisions in Lebanon grow even sharper. Cry out that God’s will be done in Lebanon as it is in heaven during these important elections. Pray that this election season in Lebanon will be peaceful. Pray that more reconciliation and forgiveness will occur in Lebanon. Ask God to reveal Jesus Christ, His Son and Saviour of the world to millions of Lebanese.

Please pray for Kelvin’s heart that God will touch and heal it. That God will protect and preserve him and use him as a great blessing to others. That he will get back home safely from hospital. T.

Please pray for my cousin T.W. She has to go into the hospital today. They are not sure what is wrong with her, but one thing wrong is that her iron is so low that she will need blood transfusions. Please pray that God heals her of all of her illnesses. Thank you. N.
