Her Husband’s Killers Are Hunting Her
In 2007, Luz and her husband were pastoring a small church in a remote Colombian jungle and joyfully anticipating the birth of twins. One day, her husband left to buy supplies and never came back. He was stalked and assassinated for his faith.
VOM immediately relocated the pregnant Luz and her young daughter, and the hit man was arrested and sent to prison.
Eight years later, the man was released from prison, and now the rebels are hunting Luz. Again, VOM immediately relocated her to a safe place.

In VOM’s ministry to persecuted Christians, sometimes believers need to be immediately relocated for their safety. We do this work through our Families of Martyrs Fund. Help to this fund means bringing widows like Luz to a place where she can recover and care for her family. It might mean quickly moving a family to another city after serious threats are made against them because of their witness. Or it might mean providing a home for a young woman who recently converted from Islam whose family kicks her out.
